Different.

Some nice flavours but felt like it had all just been thrown on the plate. Haven't tried Indonesian food before so nothing to compare it with really.

We went because of a review (not TA, can't remember where) to find the place next door (No 75, another Indonesian restaurant) packed, but almost no one here. We decided to eat here anyway and had the veggie platter which was nice and spicy, even though some ingredients were - to us - unidentifiable. Quite basic decor, nice staff, but... More

I'd considered Tujuh Maret my favourite Indonesian restaurant in Europe, based on my three or four previous visits over the past decade. However, this last time, the rijsttafel failed to excite me as it had on prior experiences. Could of course simply have been an off night for the chef, but there are a lot of very good Indonesian places... More

You know when you take a few bites from your plate and you just know it's not going to end well? That's this place. Despite being in the top 10 for Indonesian food in my travel book, it's clearly not the case! We decided to give it a try but ended up getting a bad dose of food poisoning and... More

For our last night in Amsterdam we were very keen to try some Indonesian cuisine, having been told good things about the rijsttafel. On a tight budget, we decided to try the Tujuh Maret as it was described as being cheap while still serving quality food. The restaurant is clean but plain, but this was to be expected. The service... More

The service was very good, and the rijsttafel (Indonesian rice table) was good enough if this was your first/only exposure to Indonesian cuisine and do not have high expectations. But for the money, there should be more variety instead of pretty much the same dishes being repeated in the mild-medium-spicy tiers.

The restaurant isn't much to look at and isn't the most salubrious inside but the service was attentive and the food tasty. We took our recommendation from the DK Top 10 and in reality were somewhat surprised at the recommendation as it's difficult to imagine this as holding such a rating. That said the experience we had was a good... More

My wife and I wanted a special meal for our wedding anniversary and chose Tujuh Maret. The food was very good, fresh and well presented. The waiter was very pleasant and engaging. Normally I do not go for Rijs Tafel but this one was very good. The blend of meats and flavors was first rate and I would recommend it.... More

To be short, the service was very nice and (very) slow, and the price was very high. Somehow it really looks like any tourist restaurant in Bali. That is why we do prefer going in local warung makan where you quickly get tasty food for a cheap price. But there is no such warung makan in Amsterdam... so the price... More
