Nice place, cool area

Great area around restaurant to walk around. Restaurant itself nicely renovated and certainly provides a cool environment to spend an evening. Food was quite good, not Michelin level but very decent quality and solid wine list. Service however pleasant was somewhat odd to say the least. After... read more

We had a good and healthy Italian business diner. Staff is friendly and have a little Italian ego, that you may be happy that you can have dinner with them. Not disturbing in a pleasant way. Good and various wines (also per glass) to accompany a perfect dinner.

Enjoyed a really delicious 5-course set menu with recomended wines. Only down side this time was the high noise level due to a company Christmas party Group .... Otherwise excellent!!!

After struggling to get a reservation here, my friends and I finally dined at Toscanini on a Thursday night (as it seems easier to win the lottery than get a reservation at a reasonable dining hour on Friday or Saturday night, I am pretty convinced that these evenings are reserved only for the VIPs!). The place was packed and buzzing,... More

Called at the last minute and we were able to get a reservation , which can be hard to come by.We enjoyed the ambiance and the food was spot on, very authentic. The space was very pretty and relaxing and of course we loved the menu, both of our first plates (pasta ) was delicious. Our second plates very good... More

My wife and I eat here on a recent city break to Amsterdam. We had read about it in a guide book. It's slightly out of the way and took a bit of finding. We hadn't made a reservation and when we arrived the restaurant was booked solid. This was a regular Tuesday night and showed how popular it is.... More

What a super restaurant. My wife said that she has never tasted better ravioli, she had the beetroot and ricotta, I had the Tortelli di carne which was equally as good. We visited the restaurant on a Friday which apparently is " Amsterdam night" ie when the locals eat out. It did appear that everybody knew everybody else and it... More

This place won't let you down. The food and wine are both good. It's always busy. It's not a touristy place and people will be impressed that you know it! But it's just not quite great. A perfectly good Italian.

We had the 6 course menu, what an experiance, combined with a good bottle of Nebbiolo from Piemonte (Italy) 😉 all the courses were taken care of. The atmosfere is great. Service is good! Tip to reserve in advance, the place is full almost every day!!

Staying in Jordaan

Neighborhood Profile
Jordaan
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
