So much food and tasty too

Went here with a bunch of office colleagues and stuffed ourselves to the hilt. We had the rijsttafel and were swamped with chicken, prawn , lamb, beef and other delicacies. We had some interesting dessert as well - a marzepan coated berry cake. The staff were very friendly too.

We wanted to try one of the famous Indonesian restaurants in Amsterdam and this is the one highly recommended by our hotel. Making a reservation earlier in the day could only get us the last seating at 9:30. Upon arrival we were put off by the greeting, "Do you have a reservation?" We we're expecting "Hello" or something like that.... More

We were recommended this restaurant by Alison from Joy Ride Tours, she said just to order the Rijstafel and see what happens! We sat at the bar, had a beer, ordered Rijstafel and were then taken to our table where they'd prepared a feast for us! So many different dishes, I'm not even really sure what they all were but... I am a big lover of food and we found this restaurant because it was located right next to the hotel i was staying at. Firstly i went there the night before to have a drink with my friend and the barman was so friendly and welcoming we thought we will 100% eat food here the following day. After hearing... More

First time I ate goat too. It's like a Dutch Indonesian Thanksgiving. A million plates to try. It's fun and delicious! A must and also near the Ann Frank Museum.

if you are looking to get away from the tourist trap in Amsterdam and are in this neighborhood then you must try this restaurant. Nice cold beer that goes well with the spicy Indonesian food. Quality and quantity are well proportioned for a relaxing price. Environment is a typical Dutch small restaurant that is full. When inside you forget where... More

Sought out an Indonesian restaurant to give my husband the experience as I had eaten Indonesian innumerable times back in the 70s - yes that long ago! They managed to fit us in at short notice. Was not disappointed, the staff were very helpful and polite as we wanted our own selection of food rather than the standard rice table.... More

The food was, at best average. The service was so below average that it ruined the experience! From the moment we arrived we were treated as though we were not welcome. In a nutshell the staff presentation was insulting! The meal was ok...all of the meat was tough and with little explanation the rest was very average. Though...the problem may... More

Excellent Nasi Goreng, excellent Bami Goreng, great and quick service. Probably the best Indonesian food I've had for a long time in Amsterdam.

I have been there several times and always coming back when in Amsterdam. The place usually crowded and need to have a booking in advance. The best choice to get the big set to share. Nice variety of satays, sambals, curry-like staff, veggies etc. no way to eat everything. The service is also very nice and smiling. Really recommend!
