went here after rave recommendations. booked a table. got there and served very fast almost to fast. the beer was awful, more like coloured water (and it was meant to be one of freddy heinekens favourite haunts). ordered the rice taffel. it came within 5 minutes. i can honestly say that only a few dishes were delightful, most were ok,... We took some international colleagues here this week and had a very good meal. The service is fast and efficient, we ordered the rice table which had an excellent selection of food. This is not a high end restaurant in terms of style, or price but it is good quality and good service which makes it good value for money.

I had booked a Friday night 7:30pm table for myself and an American guest who had not tasted Indonesian food before. There was some error in the reservation (done though SeatMe) and they did not have a booking for us. But they did all they could and found us a table for two where a couple had just finished. Friday... More

The waiters and cooks in this restaurant are all indonesian. It might be a bit toursitic because of the proximity of the museums, but the food is excellent and very affordable. Go for the rijstaffel, no need to accompany it by a fancy wine, beer is the most suitable drink with a rijstaffel!

Had Indonesian food for the first time yesterday at Kantjil & de Tijger - afterwards, decided that I am a fan! Then had Indonesian food for the 2nd time today at Samo Sebo - now, I am not so sure. Compared to Kantjil & de Tijger, the portions are more generous, but the food itself lacks freshness. Most dishes are... More

This is my first visit to an Indonesian restaurant so I can't compare it with anything else, but I can say that the food was very good and very tasty. The tables are very close together so it's a little cosy, so be aware if this is something that's important to you. There is no need to dress up for... More

This Indonesian restaurant is amazing. Reservations are a must and the rijsttafel is a true adventure and exciting culinary experience! We loved it all. This is a not to miss experience for the food as well as the atmosphere,

Dad and I dropped in about 1830 with no reservation and needing a meal. The place was very busy. The manager fit us in, because he had a table available until 1930, when someone had reserved the table. We clearly were new to Indonesian cuisine, so he ordered the lunch special for us. The target clients for this restaurant in... More

We tried the 18 course, and that was the best food I have had in a long time, so tasty! And the waiter was so funny and kind.
