The food was delicious, and the portions are fair for the price we paid. The fish is fresh and other food items are cooked just right. We went in on a week night and the service was friendly, but a bit slow. Not a lot of people in the restaurant when we came so we were guessing they did not... More

We ate traditional Japanese bento-box lunch. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. They were also happy to accommodate our dog.

We went to this restaurant on October '13...we planned to go to a near restaurant, but were around 21 o'clock, on sunday night, and they told us 'sorry, the kitchen is closed'...so walking along the same way, we were lucky in finding Kagetsu. The place was not crowdy, and the asian woman that welcomed us, was very nice and kind.... More

Apparently they now have three outlets, one in the Pijp too. I can be short, we ordered the Sushi set for 3 people (although we were with two), and 4x 6 urimaki and 5 x 2 nigiri's in two rounds were perfect. Could work for 3 too. The sushi is excellent, fresh, extremely tender, and the rice was perfect (not... More

I'm a big sushi lover, and this place had the freshest fish possible. I ordered salmon maki, which was delicious, the salmon was big and tasty with minimum rice and so much meat. One of the best sushi meals I ever had. Plus the atmosphere is amazing, if you come here either sit outside or on the terrace (but make... More

Our family of four had dinner here a few days ago. We walked in without reservations and so had to sit downstairs by the sushi prep area which was fine. Two of us ordered the multi-course menu. One had the shrimp katsu and another had the nabeyaki udon soup noodles. These last two dishes were just average. The multi-course menu... More

We came here because our friend knows the Japanese Chef who works here and it was one of the best sushi we have had in Amsterdam! We not only enjoyed the sushi, but also savoured the tempura, which was awesome and had an amazing time!

Cosy little place in the 9-streets shopping area. Good value menu's with miso, sushi, sashimi or tempura (about 27,50 euros per person, order with 2 persons). You can also dine a la carte. The sushi tastes a lot better than sushi at one of the many all you can eat places in Amsterdam, fresh fish and big portions. It seemed... More

This place had been on my list for a while so I was happy to go there with 4 friends recently. There are several different menu options including miso soup, starter (sashimi, sushi, tempura etc.), main dish and ice-cream (green tea, black/white sesame) for between 25-30 EUR together with an à la carte choice. I shared gyoza and yakitori to... More

Went for lunch. Bad service. no one say welcome or anything when we walk in. Girl just wait until we sit on any table and come with no smile face. Ramen is too salty miso soup doesn't taste like real miso. Tempura sauce is wrong. No taste and shouldn't have ginger in. Even more weird was the fried half onion... More
