Description: Fifteen restaurant in Amsterdam is an exciting offshoot of Jamie Oliver’s famous Fifteen London, a great example of one set of dynamic, generous people inspiring others to act. In this case, the ‘others’ are Sarriel Taus and Coen Alewijnse who have created this combination restaurant and chef’s school in partnership with Fifteen London to benefit the struggling young people of Amsterdam. So what’s it like at the dining end of the equation? Very cool. The arty cosmopolitan style includes vibrant graffiti-scrawled sheet metal walls contrasting nice with the smart, sleek modern lines, designer seating and white table cloths. The restaurant seats up to 200, yet can still feel right for an dinner a deux. Each night a tasting menu is on offer, inspired by Jamie Oliver incorporating only the freshest regional produce. The modern Italian menu changes weekly and includes one of Jamie’s favourite antipasti to start, a first dish of fresh pasta, gnocchi or risotto, second course of meat, fish, poultry or game, and, we’re quoting here, ‘a wicked dessert’. A wine tasting menu is available to match the food tasting menu, or choose your own from the excellent list.

We were going to Amsterdam on a 3 day break and I wanted to make sure we were going to somewhere nice and the reviews were excellent. It was my girlfriends birthday and I also planned to propose to her that evening. I xant... More

Am writing this from my hotel room having just returned from Envy. My husband brought me to Amsterdam for a birthday weekend and tonight we found ourselves debating where to eat. We checked out trip advisor and asked our concierge who recommended Envy. The booking was easy we arrived early at 630. Was met with a warm welcome and shown... More

I can't imagine how anyone can describe this place as terrible, poor or even average - though that's the fun of personal reviews, we all have different experiences for whatever reason. We had dinner at one of their long bar-stool tables - not massively comfortable for the older among us, but who cares when you are so well looked after.... More

An intimate dining experience in Amsterdam. Open kitchen in an attractive setting with table and bar seating. Thoroughly enjoyed the tasting menu, innovative and prepared to perfection. Friendly staff. Can't miss with dining at Envy. Recommend a reservation.

I will admit I am particular when it comes to food, however Envy was fabulous. The food was so fresh and there were not disappointing dishes. I would highly recommend this place for a special celebration as it can get pretty expensive.

If you like small European plates go somewhere else because not only did 2 of our members of our group get sick from their food, the staff is rude, especially the manager who seems to be rushing his guests of out his restaurant. Not worth the money.

We went to the Envy for our New Year Dinner and had the Chef's Deluxe menu at Euro 59.50 per head. Expensive but well worth it for one of the best meals we have every hard. The fish course in particular was outstanding but everything was of high quality and memorable

We have been to this restaurant several times and always get excellent service. Food is innovative and wine is well combined if you ask for that service.

The sausage was amazing, wine list was diverse and different and the whole experience is one I have recommended to many colleagues and friends. I have been back once since and had the same sensation of looking forward to being surprised and enjoyed each plate.
