Description: Fifteen restaurant in Amsterdam is an exciting offshoot of Jamie Oliver’s famous Fifteen London, a great example of one set of dynamic, generous people inspiring others to act. In this case, the ‘others’ are Sarriel Taus and Coen Alewijnse who have created this combination restaurant and chef’s school in partnership with Fifteen London to benefit the struggling young people of Amsterdam. So what’s it like at the dining end of the equation? Very cool. The arty cosmopolitan style includes vibrant graffiti-scrawled sheet metal walls contrasting nice with the smart, sleek modern lines, designer seating and white table cloths. The restaurant seats up to 200, yet can still feel right for an dinner a deux. Each night a tasting menu is on offer, inspired by Jamie Oliver incorporating only the freshest regional produce. The modern Italian menu changes weekly and includes one of Jamie’s favourite antipasti to start, a first dish of fresh pasta, gnocchi or risotto, second course of meat, fish, poultry or game, and, we’re quoting here, ‘a wicked dessert’. A wine tasting menu is available to match the food tasting menu, or choose your own from the excellent list.

We ran into this restaurant as it was very near our hotel. We had an absolutely delicious meals here. This it not tapas, dispite what some reviewers choose to call it, it is small plate local food. We loved it. Reasonable ambiance, perfect for a cold rainy cold Amsterdam night. Lovely, young, attractive and professional service. The food was causal... More

Envy all the way! Simply great! If you're a couple you need to order 4-5 dishes and share. The presentation, taste, service, ambiance and also the price were just all great. An Amsterdam must!!

We arrived late into Amsterdam on a Friday evening and needed somewhere to grab a bite to eat. There are not many places serving dinner after 10pm. When we arrived, the restaurant was modern and busy. We were seated but had to wait a very long time just to order something to drink while we looked at the menu. After... More

We discovered this restaurant by accident because it was near our hotel when we were passing through Amsterdam on our way to an African Safari. We liked it so much that we came back to Amsterdam on our way home from Safari just to eat at Envy again. Some artists work with brush and paint, this chef works with a... More

Like all restaurants I have been in Amsterdam, the kitchens are open. But this one was in the middle of the tables. I loved. The prawn was delicious and the cheese table too. Just the meat was tasteful.

First time walked by, I looked for an came back for lunch at this restaurant on Sunday. Seen from the street, the restaurant seems modern and trendy, and the dark interior mysteriously appealing. However, although open at this time of the day, the restaurant did not seem prepared for guests having lunch, neither in staffing nor in design and lighting.... More

We arrived as one of the earliest guests when the restaurant opened. The person who took our orders did not serve us for the rest of the evening. Once our orders were taken, nothing came until 20 minutes later. Then more waiting. It was difficult to get hold of the staff's attention; not sure if it is due to the... More

This is my first review, and although I would've liked it to be a positive one - well, it won't be. I'm surprised about the number of good ratings this restaurant has received. This is - by far - the worst dining experience I've ever had. We were seated immediately but didn't receive menus until 20 minutes later - although... More

Went with bunch of friends and had the luxury tasting menu. The service was friendly and helpful. The food was tasty and of good quality without being fine dining. The atmosphere was very good. Buzzy and on canal. Wine list decent.
