Description: Fifteen restaurant in Amsterdam is an exciting offshoot of Jamie Oliver’s...
Fifteen restaurant in Amsterdam is an exciting offshoot of Jamie Oliver’s famous Fifteen London, a great example of one set of dynamic, generous people inspiring others to act. In this case, the ‘others’ are Sarriel Taus and Coen Alewijnse who have created this combination restaurant and chef’s school in partnership with Fifteen London to benefit the struggling young people of Amsterdam. So what’s it like at the dining end of the equation? Very cool. The arty cosmopolitan style includes vibrant graffiti-scrawled sheet metal walls contrasting nice with the smart, sleek modern lines, designer seating and white table cloths. The restaurant seats up to 200, yet can still feel right for an dinner a deux. Each night a tasting menu is on offer, inspired by Jamie Oliver incorporating only the freshest regional produce. The modern Italian menu changes weekly and includes one of Jamie’s favourite antipasti to start, a first dish of fresh pasta, gnocchi or risotto, second course of meat, fish, poultry or game, and, we’re quoting here, ‘a wicked dessert’. A wine tasting menu is available to match the food tasting menu, or choose your own from the excellent list.

Great food

Amazing food! Can really recommend chef's choice, 4 or 5 courses! Everything was absolutely perfect, and the price is definitely affordable. Unfortunately, what keeps me from giving this place a full score is the service. It started very good, but during the meal it became worse and worse, and in... read more

Unbelievable! Sat scrunched up like a motorway cafe, too warm, very dark especially the toilets! Food tasted ok but nothing special and far too expensive for what you got! Couldn't believe how tiny the portions were! We eat out loads and have visited some amazing restaurants and this one is over priced and a joke! We paid 30 euros for... More

We went to Envy having been recommended by a friend. The food was perfectly good but not specious, the service was mediocre and the meal was pretty expensive. I imagine there are much better restaurants in Amsterdam and certainly better value ones.

Ate with 2 colleagues. Lovely food, imaginative menu and good service. Liked the idea of picking a few smaller dishes. Overall, great. Would definitely return.

Excellent restaurant! The food is delicious, very well presented and not expensive for the quality of the food. A bit noisy but fine.

Envy was the first restaurant we visited in Amsterdam. Definitely one of the best meals I 've ever had. We get the chef's tasting menu, 6 courses, all different gourmet choices from Envy's menu. All of them were great.

The food here is above average for Amsterdam. Choose the fish options - they are your best bet. Wine was good too.

I would like to know why we were not given complementary bread when both tables next to us were given complimentary bread we ordered bread at $4 euro Overpriced and ridiculous portions $4.75 euro for supposed sausage that was six or seven rather small pieces of Salami.

Booked a table at Resturant Envy expecting to have a great meal. Im sorry to say that we were let down. Nice arangemets on the plates, but the taste just is not good enough. We ordered the 5 course set menu, and just two of the dishes were really good (the pumpkin soup and the strawberry dessert). The place was... More
