A very simple but effective concept. Two dishes - Steak or Lobster, or a little of each. We turned up without a reservation and were exceptionally lucky to be seated. Shortly after our arrival at about 19:30hrs everyone without a reservation were turned away. The food was superb. Steak perfect, lobster simple but well cooked. Chips and salad completed the... More

First of all, nothing is red--everything is brown and green. The choices are Canadian lobster, South American fillet mignon, or a combination of the two. We got one lobster and one steak. The steak was better for far less money. The french fries were delicious, and the green salad was a nice accompaniment. The service was ok, but a bit... More

We reserved a window table at Red for a Thursday evening. The restaurant was clearly popular, with people popping in and out constantly. Also, as the room was small, and no background music, this affected the overall noise levels and ambience. Staff not very attentive but appreciate how busy they were. We opted for 1 steak, and the other surf... More

Went here based on 'trip advisor' reviews - plus it was just around the corner from our hotel. Good quality food and good value for money of steak and lobster - not fine dining - more like a busy local cafe - noisy and fun with fast service and a quick turnaround. If you want a quick meal and you... More

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel and, as you will probably know by now from the other reviews, it only serves fillet steak and/or lobster. My partner and I chose both (31 euros) and we were served half a lobster and what was probably an 8oz fillet steak - with really nice french fries, bernaise sauce and salad. Everything... More

Only 2 choices on the menu- steak or lobster (you can also get a combo). Dinner is served with unlimited fries and salad. Steak was cooked to perfection. Fries and salad were very good. Nice wine selection. I would recommend reservations as the restaurant is small and busy. Would eat here again without hesitation.

For a restaurant the only servers 2 dishes, the steak was pretty average. The service was also average at best. There are better choices that this restaurant for the money.

The menu is limited to steam and lobster BUT it's worth it. Small and cozy, great food, great wine. Plan ahead, you'll probably need a reservation.

Arrived at the restaurant at 6 pm and was told that we had to vacate by 7 pm for someone with a reservation. Not a problem. The Tournedos was excellent! Service very good. As stated before the bread is 1,50 euro pp. The "original" water was 2,50 person. My draft beer was 2.50. The value for the money (no matter... More

We were visiting Amsterdam for my birthday, and as a treat my boyfriend had booked dinner at this restaurant. We lost track of time having a drink at a nearby bar so called ahead to warn we would be late. The service from then was brilliant. Faultless. The waitress/manageress was extremely understanding. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted and... More
