Loved this little place. Had drinks on a couple of occasions and dinner one night. It is a friendly local place not far from the city centre. Busy but comfortable with friendly and pleasant staff (service sometimes a little relaxed but that added to the charm!) The menu is not huge but we enjoyed the food enormously.

Popped into this cafe on a cold November afternoon and was soon greeted by a warm friendly welcome. To cold to sit outside, our table by the window provided the perfect place to watch Amsterdam life go by. Can highly recommend the BLT sandwiches and some great local craft beers too.

We stayed at the Amrath hotel and this was nearby. Went in on our first night for wine and cheese, the blue cheese and port wasfantastic and the Pinot Noir one of the best we have had. This was so relaxing and had a bit of a local buzz to it, very friendly staff and reasonably priced. Went back on... More

we stay at the Grand Amrath Hotel every year and have passed by this little place and never stopped. this year, on our very last night, we passed it and thought, "one more glass of wine at this neighborhood spot to cap off an amazing trip." the waiter came out and when i struggled in the dark to read the... Stopped here to relax and ended up having a delicious meal. There's a nice mix of tapas-sized snacks on the menu, but there's also a daily special board inside with entree-sized choices. When we visited there was a fresh quiche, a pasta and a few others. Great outdoor dining setting and reasonably priced.

Great food with large portions. The blackboard changed daily and certain dishes do run out. Try the plaice and the lamb curry

We visited this restaurant on our 1st night in Amsterdam, on the warm recommendation of a friend, and were very glad we did so. The location is very good, not far from Centraal Station, and in a quiet and pleasant area. Service was friendly and efficient and our food was extremely tasty - very good steaks and an excellent "bitterballen"... More

Unpretentious and welcoming. Found this by accident as close to apartment where we stayed. Good choice of food, fresh and tasty. The hummus and tapenade starter was yummy. A reasonable selection of dishes for veggies. Doesn't do cards so take cash. Friendly service.

This place is welcoming and gentle and weed free so far..... Prices seem reasonable. Food looks and smells great. Happy atmosphere, Motown in background, chilled with friends.com. Stylish, not over trendy, laid back. What is not to like?

We were here twice during our stay in Amsterdam. This cafe was close to the apartment where we stayed. It is definitely a locals place and always quite busy. The first time, we had dinner & drinks which was good-have to try the Bitterballen which is a Dutch savoury, typically a mixture of beef (minced or chopped), beef broth, butter,... More
