Great place

Good menu choices, typical Turkish / Greek. Prices about right, 5 people starter, main, and drinks €140. Fast service, although it was quiet. However, be aware that like many restaurants in Holland they only accept Dutch payment cards. Recommended

You will leave full up.. The service is a tad slow but the food and friendliness of staff make up for it. Staff made us feel right at home and we sat where we wanted. The variety is excellent and so is the price. The homemade lemonade is perfect and the meat is grilled enough to have texture and flavour!!

We came across this unsophisticated restaurant purely by chance and were so pleased that we had. It has a nice atmosphere, the food and red wine were simple but delicious and the family members who attended to us were very charming, friendly & efficient. We really couldn't fault it. Three courses and a carafe of wine came to around €60... More

"Divan" is a surprise. We went there with friends and ordered a lot of different and delicious plates that we were able to share altogether. Great Turkish red wine and such a wonderful service ! Definitely worth a visit, you will love it.

We stumbled upon this restaurant one evening in Amsterdam after a few drinks in the Jordaan district. We ordered a mix of the half plates which we shared and some seasonal beer. Pros: yummy Turkish food (stuffed mushrooms favourite of the night) good friendly service, good value for money and cosy atmosphere.

Having read the other reviews on this restaurant, I wouldn't have believed it to be the same place. Don't get me wrong, it was ok, but having been in Turkey many times, I found the food to be a little disappointing. It was acceptable, but nothing overly spectacular. Perhaps we hit there on a bad night, as the service was... More

Not just my words, but the words of one who lived 8 years in Turkey. Family run Turkish restaurant and cafe. We were there a couple of years ago, and were very impressed by the genuine Turkish cooking. We came back now and were pleased to find that our first impression was correct. Divan is placed just outside the most... More

We were in Amsterdam looking for somewhere to eat that would please vegetarians and non vegetarians alike. Divan fit perfectly! It was warm and cozy on a chilly, rainy evening, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and there was a pleasant, lively but quiet enough to chat atmosphere. We opted for the array of Meze, all vegetarian, and ordered kebabs... More

when i go to Divan . i always think about my little Turkish family , about our big house overlooking the Bosphorus and the pleasure i have eating in this restaurant is of course because the food is so delicious ... as for the lady that manages this well known place ... she is ... wonderful
