A friend and I stumbled upon this restaraunt on a wet and windy march afternoon. The restaurant was busy but not overcrowded. After a few minutes when we finally got the attention of a server and asked if there were any available tables,we were left chasing our waitress up the stair to a small table at the end of a... More

The food was lovely - beautifully presented and very well cooked - and the staff were attentive without every being intrusive.

Nice beers. We stopped for a drink on te way up the Rokin. A well deserved beer! Not cheap, but good. A nice Leffe beer and a Warsteiner. We sat outside. Service was swift and you pay for it on order, which suited us.

Went there lunchtime on Saturday 19th October. My husband and I had burger and chips and my son omelette. Service was okay as we sat to the side of the bar, so could not fail to miss us. The food filled us up, but nothing special. Expensive for what we had. Would not go there again!

On one of Amsterdam’s main tourist streets, Rokin, just around the corner from the Amsterdam Museum (a great place to start your Amsterdam break) and a stones throw from Dam Square, Beems Brasserie made a great stop for a light, midday, meal. We shared two starters, Smoked Duck on Couscous and Dutch Shrimp, both of which were freshly prepared and... More

We were having dinner at the terrace with a very nice view to the Rokin. The cod fish was superb very fresh and well prepared. The service was friendly and professional. Chef's desert was the best we have eaten in amsterdam. Wine collection is great and prices are affordable.

My husband, sister, and brother in law were looking for somewhere in the vicinity of the Dam Square for an early dinner one evening in June. We came across this brasserie and the menu looked inviting. We were shown to a window table by the server Nils, who was very friendly. We decided to start our meal with a Kir... More
