Dinner at Alfonso's

Had dinner here on Saturday night and could not fault the experience. Very nice meal - the tacos were excellent and were accompanied by rice and re fried beans. Staff were pleasant and all in all we enjoyed our visit.

Friendly staff & great food. Myself & husband enjoyed Alfonso's so much we went both nights we spent in Amsterdam. Chicken fajitas for 2 is more than enough & great house dry white wine. I would recommend this place & will be visiting again when back in Amsterdam.

Mexico in Amsterdam...having lived in Mexico for a little over 20 years speaking with some experience eating Mexican fare...Alfonso's stands up to any of the restaurants that I have experienced in either San Felipe Baja Norte or Puerto Vallarta..food is not only excellent in every regard the service is excellent as well.

We came across this restaurant while we were in the Rembrandt Plein of the area during Gay Pride. We were quickly seated and offered drinks and given complimentary nachos. I ordered the fajitas and a few minutes later, my boyfriend went to the toilet and whilst he was there, the food arrived! Wow, such fast service! The fajitas were lovely,... More

Disappointed in so many ways. The Margarita was terrible. I was not served complementary chips and salsa like everyone else sitting around me. The food was mediocre at best.

Had a very disappointing Mexican meal. I'm from California where it's so easy to find good Mexican food, so that might the issue - it generally has good reviews, but to my taste buds it was just a mediocre meal.

Visited this restaurant whilst on holiday in Amsterdam. We arrived back in Amsterdam late following a day-trip outside the city, so we arrived at around 10 pm at this restaurant... as it was mid-week and quite late so we had no difficulty whatsoever to to find a table for two available. We ordered our food (fajitas with chicken for two)... More

Visited last night and had a lovely meal. Free tortilla chips and salsa on the table was a nice touch, although it meant I really didn't need a starter! We both had burritos and what a portion size!! Absolutely brilliant, plenty of everything you'd hope for- sour cream, guacamole etc, from an independent restaurant in a nice relaxed atmosphere. If... More

We came here on our first night in Amsterdam. It was a short walk from our hotel and we just came accross this place. It was the best meal we had over the 3 days. The restaurant was quiet but it was a rainy Sunday night. Service was fab. We both had the chorizo starter...would have easily have passed for... More
