Bridges Inspired by Ron Blaauw Bridges seafood restaurant is located at the front of Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam, the location and the building are special. Bridges restaurant is all about fish! The best 'fins' possible, caught at the best moment. Always in season, never out of it. We offer a large selection of mainly Dutch seafood, whether it is in the restaurant, the Bar or the Cocktail Bar. Local, organic vegetables complement the seafood; a perfect match of the sea meeting the land, with a French twist. The Wine Room is stocked with 'great whites'; fish just needs good 'vins'.

Fantastic place right in the centre of Amsterdam. Great restaurant in Hotel The Grand

I really like this place. First of all the place looks very nice. It's modern and the way it's setup is nice. You do not have the feeling you are in a big restaurant. In the middle of the restaurant is a fish & oyster bar. Staff is impeccable. The menu is very good and for both the lunches I... read more

Having looked forward to experiencing this restaurant for some time, I finally was invited to a 'business' tasting lunch. The service and welcome was friendly without being effusive. The set menu started with a couple of so/so 'amuses', followed by langoustine first course. In fact, one langoustine on a plate of prettily arranged, but utterly tasteless grains and a cream... This place is where for the first time ever a Chef has literally created a menu that nobody in our party of 4 could find anything to eat. A mixture of weird ingredients that simply did not go well together at least on the menu. We politely got up and went elsewhere.

I dined at Bridges with work colleagues and was left with only a "meh" opinion. It was hard to identify what was wrong - the concept or the execution ... perhaps both. There was at least one spectacular dish - a foie gras puree (probably not the right term) with lobster chunks. This took richness to a new level! We... More

We hade a wonderful dinner here a Friday night, not in the peek season so we hade no problem to book a table. Tasting menu was fantastic, excellent wine to go with each plate. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Explained all the dishes and what wine was served. We are very interested in food and wine so we enjoyed... More

we asked the receptionist at our hotel (the excellent Canal House), to book the restaurant for 8pm, but we had to accept the earlier booking of 7.15 pm. When we arrived the restaurant was virtually empty. We were sat at a table for four in close proximity to a table for two, although there was plenty of space elsewhere. We... More

Having lunch at the Bridges was an absolutely wonderful experience and left me feeling happy and fulfilled in many ways. The restaurant has a wonderful elegant decor, and the chairs are soft and cushy. The waiters and waitresses are worldclass with the perfect combination of attention, small talk and professional efficiency. The food was a feast for all senses in... More

We stayed at the Sofitel and decided to have an extraordinary dinner at Bridges! First we must say that the staff is very professional and friendly (they noted that 1 of us was vegetarian though we wrote them a few weeks before). However, we expected to be surprised but the dishes were like in every other gourmet restaurant. The wines... More
