Trusted tripadvisor on this one and was not disappointed. Went fir the 'todays menue' at € 22.50 /person. Starters were fantastic, especially the fishcakes. Mains was a selection og curries and fish. Desert with fruit and ice cream followed by coffee was also excellent. Highly recommended!

On this trip of Europe we ate at 54 restaurants and Take Thai was up there in the top 5. We were introduced by a local Amsterdam couple when out shopping and we were glad they suggested it. The place has a good modern feel about it and we felt comfortable there. The food is light, fresh and with flavour.... More

The service is very friendly. The restaurant looks very clean and modern. We selected fixed- price menu nr. 2 and added Tom Kha Kai. Very tasty and fresh. A pleasant taste of modern Thai cuisine with unexpected treats like drumsticks in a red wine sauce with Thai herbs. Be sure to book in advance because the restaurant is quite small... More

One of the better Thai places in Amsterdam. We selected the special three course fixed-price menu. After the aperitif we had a combination of starters. The main course consisted of chicken, beef, fish with rice and fried vegetables. For dessert we had fried banana with vanilla ice cream which was quite filling. The service was friendly and we were served... More

Convenient on tram line 4 this is a good balance between a full restaurant and a local eatery. White tablecloths and a bright cheery appearance. Great Mai Tai cocktail to start and then very well cooked and flavoured meal. A 'standard' green curry was tasty. Service was just the right speed. Obviously many locals eating there. Couldn't really fault it.

This is not my first time at Take Thai - I ate there in August 2013 and reviewed it then. Since I was in Amsterdam again, staying nearby - a great area to stay, by the way - I decided to see if it retained its excellent service and food. Well, in two words - yes and yes - sorry,... More

I have eaten in this restaurant but this last time it was take-out or take-away as they call it in Amsterdam. The food was great. The people were so friendly. At the end of the order I asked if the lady could add 2 Singa beers to the bill. She gave me the beers and told me they were on... More

We found this restaurant through traveller reviews. A small restaurant in the local neighbourhood. Bright restaurant interior made us feel welcomed and feeling warm despite cold and rainy weather outside. Very friendly employees with caring service and the dinner was really delicious. Reasonably priced. Worth a visit to have good Thai food.
