This place had the potential to be a 5/5 but the service ruined the experience for sure. Longest wait between courses and felt VERY ignored by the staff in clearing our table during said courses. The ribs were great and the food in general was of a good standard but the service brings this place down.

Eight of us visited on a busy Saturday night. Portions were generous. Two of our party had the sirloin steaks. They requested them medium, unfortunately they were undercooked - medium rare at best.We didn't complain. The service was very good. Everything was reasonably priced.

It is a restaurant with tradition, which was recommended by a friend. He told us that there he had the best ribs in his life and indeed these were the best ribs we had ever eaten. So go and have the ribs...

You can never tell what you're going to find when you return to an old haunt after 30+ years. Well, when it comes to the Sluizer, this restaurant improves with time! Having lived in A'dam the Fish and Meat Sluizers (2 separate, next-door restaurants) were our regular dining choices; good food, drink, service in a fab neighborhood, With the 2... More

Had an amazing dinner, high quality food and personalized service. I had a whole turbot, while others had Tuna steak and Cod Filley. All 3 tasted amazing. Other great feature is the "Napoli"-style coffee they serve. Great espresso! Definately a go!

My partner and I were looking for somewhere to eat on the first evening of a short visit to Amsterdam. We saw Sluizer's and thought it looked interesting. We received a very friendly greeting from the multi-lingual duty manager and the service throughout was excellent. There was a very pleasant atmosphere to the restaurant which added to our enjoyment. We wanted to have dinner on Valentines day, and the hotel recommended this place. We had preordered the Valentine's menu and made a reservation of a table. We only needed to choose the main menu when we arrived We had a nice table by the window, and we ordered wine and decided on main course. So far so good... The... More

This is a good restaurant that is frequented by locals. It was not too busy at night , which is not a good sign. We have not seen any tourists. Fish was cooked perfectly, we enjoyed lentil salad and dessert. Onion soup was pretty bad for my taste. Service was not too fast, but very friendly. It is not cheap,... More

Our hotel recommended this restaurant. The food was nicely prepared and tasted great. We enjoyed the fish and it was easy to get a table on a busy night.
