We went to this restaurant on the second day of our trip to Amsterdam. We booked in advance and found the food to be lovely, as was the deco of the place. The restaurant was empty for most of the time we were there other than when we were leaving when a few others came in. The staff were friendly... More

How wonderful to find such an authentic Indian fine dining in the middle of Amsterdam! Enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. Convenience location. Really good to bring your friends or business associate for dinner. Try the "Tears source"! ;-)

Good location and nice interior. Long wait for food, but no complaints about the taste. A bit pricey, but that's due to the location in the center of the tourist area. Service was OK, but not great overall value for the money.

This is a very touristy restaurant in Amsterdam, just off the popular Leidseplein. It was a very busy night there but that's no excuse for the 45 minute wait for the food, none of which arrived at the same time. When it came, the food was of a very poor quality and most of it tasted like they had dropped... More

ripp off!! The WORST service in the world, they bring you stuff without you ordering for it and they make you pay for it! The bread costs like 5 € each and to make it worse... We found a hair in out plate... It was disgusting. Even the atmosphere gives you a bad vibe. Please avoid this restaurant, make everybody... More

This restaurant has a really cool design. The waitress paid a lot of attention to my needs (no lactose). Food was excellent, really nice atmosphere! Highly recommended!

I believe this Indian restaurant has been recently taken over and previously there had been some bad reviews attached to a previous owner. However, after recently visiting it I can confidently say that my partner and I, who have eaten an indian or two in the past, thought the food here was exceptional, some of the best we have ever... I have read the previous reviews having just returned from Amsterdam. We went to Leidersplein on the tram and chose to eat in the Maurya, primarily because it was next door to the Waterhole bar where there was live music. We thought the food was superb. I came from the West Midlands and the meals were on a par if... More

This place is a complete rip-off. Although the food tasted fine, if not good, it did not have the taste of organic fresh ingredients. Rice was NOT included in the price of a main dish which were all expensive and portions were small. A veg side dish was nearly as expensive as a main dish. Tap water could not be... More

i write reviews and did not check Tripadvisor reviews. felt ripped off just like other stories here. i thought the owner was professional and kind. instead it was a tactic to upsell. lured into this place by the promise of organic food by someone at the door. quality of the food was nowhere near what fresh organic tastes like.
