Fantastic restaurant

Fantastic restaurant, over looking one of Amsterdams many water ways, great food and seriously good staff who went out of their way to ensure we had an excellent evening. Thoroughly recommend.

Two dining times: at 6 and at 9. The 6 pm seating was full. The layered rillette was unctuous; the 3x lamb good: chops tender and cooked right; the lamb sausage dry; the lamb stew good. Signature dessert is 'heavenly mud' of chocolate mousse which is served in neat little scoops - nothing muddy about it. Service is personal and... More

This restaurant has a very simple, even bland, decor but friendly atmosphere. Based on good reviews and location close to our hotel we went to find this place. It does not look like much but there were lots of people in, many sounded like locals or at least Dutch (that's all I can tell obviously). We were greeted by a... More

A little outside out the typical tourist area but well worth the 10 minute walk! Great food, reasonable prices, attentive service despite being very busy. Seemed to be a mix of locals and tourists. The lamb was very good,

9 of us turned up on spec on the recommendation of a local who we passed in the street. We were looked after with great humour and really lovely food. It is only just off the main tourist trail but well worth the detour.

This is a lovely unpretentious restaurant using great Dutch produce to maximum effect. Service is charming by most attentive staff but relaxed and not intrusive.

This restaurant is little bit off the beaten path in Amsterdam, but we were richly rewarded for searching it out. Upon entering this light and airy restaurant, we were warmly greeted by our host and waiter for the evening. He showed us to several tables by the large picture window and let us select our seat. After offering us a... More

Strongly recommended by the pocket Amsterdam Lonely Planet guide. This time we definitely learned to reckon what Lonely Planet's authors suggest! The place is nice but food and service are not worth you money. My main course was fish Heilbotfilet and came with a potatoes purée. Everything overcooked and so sad to taste and see. The Rokkaasrouleau was ok. Excellent... More

We asked for a table at a particular time and they gave an honest answer and stayed true it, the table was ready when we showed up later. Great food, very friendly and accommodating service. Good wine list without being pretentious.

V good food but also v flexible and helpful staff when they learnt that our colleague's flight was delayed. They couldn't have been more understanding and accommodating.
