Best meal I've had in ages!

Delicious food, nicely presented and at a very reasonable price for the amazing quality. Friendly, helpful and welcoming staff. Nice atmosphere. Make sure you book a table or you will be disappointed.

The restaurant is named after its signature desert, translated into Heavenly Mud- a chocolate overload, but absolutely delicious. This is a very popular restaurant, completely full when we got there and it's easy to understand why- a small menu with vegetarian options makes life simple. But do book in advance or you will be disappointed. I had a beef tartare... More

Recommendation by our hotel (Mauro Mansion) saw us book, our first attemp was fully booked, so don't expect to turn up, this is a great place and will start to get very busy. The welcome was friendly (although we did have to wait outside as our table was not ready, but there are worse places to wait than beside a... More

Fantastic restaurant, over looking one of Amsterdams many water ways, great food and seriously good staff who went out of their way to ensure we had an excellent evening. Thoroughly recommend.

Two dining times: at 6 and at 9. The 6 pm seating was full. The layered rillette was unctuous; the 3x lamb good: chops tender and cooked right; the lamb sausage dry; the lamb stew good. Signature dessert is 'heavenly mud' of chocolate mousse which is served in neat little scoops - nothing muddy about it. Service is personal and... More

This restaurant has a very simple, even bland, decor but friendly atmosphere. Based on good reviews and location close to our hotel we went to find this place. It does not look like much but there were lots of people in, many sounded like locals or at least Dutch (that's all I can tell obviously). We were greeted by a... More

A little outside out the typical tourist area but well worth the 10 minute walk! Great food, reasonable prices, attentive service despite being very busy. Seemed to be a mix of locals and tourists. The lamb was very good,

9 of us turned up on spec on the recommendation of a local who we passed in the street. We were looked after with great humour and really lovely food. It is only just off the main tourist trail but well worth the detour.

This is a lovely unpretentious restaurant using great Dutch produce to maximum effect. Service is charming by most attentive staff but relaxed and not intrusive.
