It was nice to find an Indian restaurant at this place called Gandhi. Their food was good although not great. But somehow I felt that the name Gandhi shouldn't have been the name of this restaurant where they serve everything that Gandhi always campaigned against including liquor. Average place if one wants to visit.

Being Indian and having interest in cooking, I can say that this was worst indian food ever. The restaurant ambience is not welcoming and very crowded if fully occupied. The staff is not at all welcoming. As we were not very hungry, we ordered one curry, starter and 2 naan and of course a bottle of water. After taking this... More

The food is very good and the service is pretty solid. I ordered the chicken vindaloo and it was the hottest I have ever had. I made it through a little more than half of it and then let the endorphins kick into high gear. 10% less hot would still made it the hottest I ever had. It's down a... More

What excited me during my visit in September during IBC was the thought of having indian dinner after gruelling day. I was bowled over by the warmth of the staff and the owner makes you feel at home. Service was exemplary and they were kind enough to make the meals suiting ones's tastebuds.... Strongly recommend.

We decided to visit again the night after as we liked the food so much. The staff were friendly, helpful and made us feel at home. Dishes we especially liked were Lamb Jalfrezi, Chicken Tikka, Lamb Aloo and Butter Chicken. A must for... More

It was our first day in Amsterdam, wanted to have some celebration too..we went around exploring the Dam Square and found the hotel hidden inside an alley way..a nice surprise, though the ambiance seem average the food was nice.We ordered the basic lentil soup, khadhai paneer and breads..our request for making the food spicy was met with a smile, though service is... Restaurant smells strongly of stale spices, tables quite grimy. I'm glad I couldn't see the kitchen. Typical Indian restaurant. Waited 45 mins for our food to be served whilst others arriving later received their food sooner, our order was not large or special. Food not as good as on a previous visit, quite tasteless.

Poor Quality Food , The Place Stinks of spices and Poor Service , almost like assembly line. For 18 Euros food is made and served poorly and served in steel plates in crammed restaurant. The credit card machine was not working. Use a backup like Square or mobile phone based services rather than causing inconvenience to guests.
