I went there for the 2nd time (in a year) as I wanted my sisters to experience it. The entrance is a bit hard to find and we were taken to the upper floor. This place is full of history and I really enjoy the atmosphere, the service and of course the food. They gave us a surprise starter -... read more

The building this restaurant is housed in used to be a Pepper merchant and dates back to circa 1624. The staff are generally very friendly and service is good, if a little slow at times. The food is good and the wine list superb. I would recommend the spider crab starter and the steak main.

We ordered courses from chief. It was wonderful! Vine selection was perfect. Service was excellent, waiters were attentive, time between courses - ideal for vine and discussion. We seated under Rembrandt's etching - it was very interesting as well.

Found this restaurant by chance so glad we did . It was so good we dined there twice the food was excellent as was the service and all the staff are friendly . I thought this would be a special restaurant to take my wife to for our 45th wedding anniversary visit to Amsterdam. How wrong ! We were given a wobbly table in an obscure corner in the very warm and airless Rembrandt Room. The service could only be described as shambolic. Although we ordered a set 4 course dinner with partnering... More

Traditional silver service, from a good winelist and a large menu. Tasting and a la carte. Do NOT rely on trying to get here on an off-chance, you'll be disappointed. Book in advance and be prepared to spend

Visited the restaurant as part of a table of 12, overall it was a good dining experience. We had a set menu and not being fussy I enjoyed trying new flavours. If I am back in Amsterdam soon I will try and visit again :-)

We went to this restaurant after a friends recommendation. And we weren't disappointed, in fact it's one of the best dining experience I've had in Amsterdam. The service is perfect, we sat outside but the inside is literally a museum, and they do have three rare Rembrandt pieces. The food is excellent as you would except, and they have a... More

This restaurant is famous for good food. At least that is what many people told me over the years. So my expectations were set on a high level I assume. What killed this was the plain pawn cracker soup and the service by pretty but young personnel. More importantly very unexperienced personnel. . . Motivation: Part of our group has... More

I really like this place. The ambience can be a little much - given its museumy feeling but its dark and cozy. Perfect for dinners. It maybe a little steep but the food was delicious. The menu gets updated frequently but I loved how innovative some of the dishes were.
