Description: One of Amsterdam's most remarkable restaurants, situated on the 23rd floor of Hotel Okura Amsterdam, the Ciel Bleu Restaurant has been awarded two Michelin stars and, much like the adjacent Twenty Third Bar, offers a stunning panoramic view of Amsterdam's city centre. This breathtaking vista and the luxurious design, together with the personal hospitality, all combine to create a unique atmosphere. The Ciel Bleu Restaurant's ambitious kitchen staff serve a unique take on French cuisine, prepared with seasonal products and characterised by its innovation. The Sommelier's professionalism and close cooperation with Executive Chef and Manager Onno Kokmeijer results in a perfect harmony between wine and food. The Ciel Bleu Restaurant also offers three luxurious private areas: the Starlight Room, the Salon Panoramique, and the Chef's Table in the restaurant's kitchen.

Booked this restaurant because we wanted a great dining experience on our visit to Amsterdam. It was better than we had anticipated - all the tables were placed comfortably apart and were given great views of the city. Decor unexceptional but comfortable. Great cocktails and good wine choices from sommelier. Staff were very professional but human and with humour. The... More

We enjoyed a wonderfull diner at Ciel Bleu. The view is unbeatable, the food very tastefull and delicate, and the service special. We really felt special with the attentive and open way in which the staff served us. The staff has a great knowledge of the products, specially Berber and Jord who both took great care of us. We where... More

Well, you don't get two Michelin stars without wonderful, creative food and excellent service. It was all quite good, The other 2* restaurant in Amsterdam is Aan de Poel which was much less expensive and more casual. This is definitely an elegant restaurant and quite expensive. But you only live once!

This two M stars restaurant is characterized by the long-run activity of the two chefs taht lead the combiantion between consolidated success and innovation. The menu changes according to the season. I had the opportunity to taste the autumn menu 2014. I opted for the seasonal one instead of the à la carte one in order to follow the chefs... More

I have diner in quite a few special places, primarily on business trips. I will never forget this evening. The main reason is that the food, or artwork, served here is without oo much posh and foams etc. just extremely pure excellent pieces of art, without the stiff under lip you can praise the lord that you can eat here... I will not comment on the food; superbe of course! But so it is in Bokkedoorns, Vrienden van Jacob, Librije and so forth in many Dutch stars+ restaurants. Then why choose for Okura? Because it is Amsterdam, a table with a great view, the personnel is of high professional standards and at the same time relaxed & entertaining. That comes... More

Real class: surprising and exciting food accompanied by a very professional service with lots of extras and treats. The sommelier was very professional and informing, even about the selection of glass shapes. Staff had many explanations as the dishes require them, and with it made us feel very comfortable. The view is great as well.

We had a dinner at the Chef's table of the Ciel Bleu restaurant. We enjoyed the dinner with 4 people, due to a special, not very happy, but very good reason. Onno Kokmeijer, the chef of the restaurant, authorized this himself, showing great respect for people and life! The dinner - one word: WOW!!! All the time the Ciel Bleu... More
