Description: One of Amsterdam's most remarkable restaurants, situated on the 23rd floor...
One of Amsterdam's most remarkable restaurants, situated on the 23rd floor of Hotel Okura Amsterdam, the Ciel Bleu Restaurant has been awarded two Michelin stars and, much like the adjacent Twenty Third Bar, offers a stunning panoramic view of Amsterdam's city centre. This breathtaking vista and the luxurious design, together with the personal hospitality, all combine to create a unique atmosphere. The Ciel Bleu Restaurant's ambitious kitchen staff serve a unique take on French cuisine, prepared with seasonal products and characterised by its innovation. The Sommelier's professionalism and close cooperation with Executive Chef and Manager Onno Kokmeijer results in a perfect harmony between wine and food. The Ciel Bleu Restaurant also offers three luxurious private areas: the Starlight Room, the Salon Panoramique, and the Chef's Table in the restaurant's kitchen.

Can't agree more with previous remarks about being pretentious. Come on - 2 different sea salts, 2 different oils, constantly reclining up your wine and water glasses - what's the deal?! Food tasty but not up to level at the 2 other Michelin restaurants we ate at. Also, was twice as expensive. No need to leave city center for fabulous... More

And here we have......as the waiter starts to explain the frankly unexplainable nonsense placed in front of you. These kids are asked to coordinate the place settings and napkin servings at the same time like a robotic trick. The food is semi tasteless, poorly matched and pretentious. I eat every-where and pretty much everything, but will avoid this nonsense, it's... More

first 2 stars for me and my partner... And it was amazing ! The food, the attention of the staff, the view! And a special attention for our 8 anniversary ! We choose the 6 course menu and it was a spectacle in the mouth and around us! It's the third restaurant I tried in the hotel okura and I... More

From the welcome in to this restaurant close to the stars in this flat city of Amsterdam you are in for a culinary journey, complimented with a flawless service till the very last sweet you are offered with your coffee. The "coup de grace" is the chance and talk to the chef Onno, whose wife turned out to be a... More

We had a very nice time at Ciel Bleu with a great table by the window to enjoy the view om the city. Service was very good and attentive. We chose the full tasting menu and came 2 amuse bouches and a fantastic petits fours wagon in the end! Very pricy in the end with aperitif, wines and avec but... More

Culinairy Violence, Fantastic, Refined, Food Art, Dining Experience. A little selection of everything that comes up in my mind. The food was amazing, I was and I'm still dazzled. Great flavours, great dishes and a sublime combination of food and wine. The staff was exceptionally good, professional and very friendly. One of the best restaurants I 've eaten, with international... More

Food at Le Ciel Bleu is superb, there can be no doubt about that. We took the 6 course menu and enjoyed every dish. However, they sure take their time: we started dinner at 7:30pm and finished well after midnight. A bit too long for us. The check was a bit of an unpleasant surprise, as the two glasses of... More
