Very good coffee

A small place with a great coffee to have a break! Take a chair against a window, look at the street life and slowly taste your coffee.

My husband and I started our first day in Amsterdam and this little coffee shop next to our hotel. Coffee was perfect. There were also pastries and other items to chose, but, we stuck to the coffee needing a little jolt to get us going.

There is quite a lot of selection in this quaint coffee shop. Its located on a main road in front of a tram stop. Its not a Starbucks so the service is personal. The bread and pastries seem fresh. The coffee and other hot drinks are wonderful. The price is comparable to a starbucks. They serve, breads and short orders... More

Just across the road from the Amsterdam Stadsarchief, La Purete is really nice cafe - great decor and a very interesting menu of both tea and coffee varieties. I tried a Green Champagne tea, which was very pleasant. The carrot cake was good too. The owner is very cheerful and friendly. A great place to take a break.

After 3 days of horrible coffee we finally found this place. Very good cofffee ( Try the honey roasted one), an awsome apple pie and a very friendly owner is all you need to start a good day in Amsterdam.

This was just round the corner from our hotel and I wish had discovered it earlier in our trip! Lovely flat white and fantastic apple cake.

I stepped in looking for lunch. But I discovered way more. A wide variety of coffees, teas, sweets and sandwiches are for the choosing. Lovely atmosphere with high chairs facing the window and an upper floor for tête-à-têtes. Very friendly owner. Superb coffee. I'll be back!

A bit expensive perhaps but good coffee quality: I had both espresso and cappuccino. Friendly personnel who can help also in providing cups for coffee to go - pity that they did not have sugar sticks to bring with me...and so I had to take the sweeteners.

A place of refuge, since my work place around the corner doesn't offer any good coffee. Usually I go for the Vietnamese slow coffee (honey process beans) with condensed milk. It takes a while to sift (hence the name) but is delicious and strong like an espresso. Carrot cake here is good too. The owner takes her coffee seriously and... More
