Great Lunch and Friendly Owners

After checking out the menu we stopped here at an outside table for lunch. There were three of us: had a delicious goat cheese plate w/brown bread and honey, a great open faced tuna sandwich and a wonderful spicy chicken club. All came with salad and all three were excellent. It's a family run... read more

Good food and service. The menu didn't have too many options, but the burguer with fries was pretty fresh and good. It was one of the daily specials. The ingredients were also fresh and the price is fair. The location is great.

We were greeted in a very warm and friendly way by the hosts, and the level of customer service was definitely better than a standard Dutch cafe. Salads were real nice, fresh and healthy. Was it the best place we've ever eaten? No, but for the price, it's probably one of the nicer simple cafes in the Rembrandtplein area that... More

Gosh all this praise - when we went it was among the few 5 dot spots in Amsterdam. So off we went for lunch and while it was good it was only good. The staff were warm - a plus. The outside tables also are a plus though there are many places with that. However our salad and sandwich choices... More

When most restaurants in Amsterdam serve a pretty starchy, middling menu, U6 gives a fragrant, tasty, inventive and individualistic selection of freshly cooked dishes. The lunch menu is very short but, as it was a dismal day with few tourists, we were offered a choice from the evening menu. We had Pork tenderloin with rosti potatoes and were surprised to... More

Me and my friend were staying in a nearby hotel and walked around the Rembrandt Square area and came across U6. We each had the Texas Burger and it was fantastic! The fries/chips were out of this world, they had some kind of seasoning on them that was amazing. Not only that but the burger was a decent size and... More

We were walking with some friends, looking for something to eat and this place caught our eye! We all had a Texan Burger and honestly it came close to the best one we've ever had (and we're some kind of experts when it comes to burgers). Anyway, great service, awesome staff, you need to check it out if you want... More

My wife and I went here for lunch. She had the nicoise salad and I had a piece of quiche. We were pleasently surprised to see that the nicoise salade came with a freshly grilled piece of tuna. The quiche was as excellent as I would expect in France. We finished with a piece of apple pie and a piece... More
