My wife and I recently dined at the Java Chinese-Indonesian restaurant as we were hungry and this happened to be along the path to the de Bijenkorf. Unfortunately, apart from it's relatively central location, there's really nothing much to rave about. We ordered 2 sets from the fast food menu as we only wanted a light lunch. And a light... More

We spotted this restaurant after spending some time looking for a Chinese. The set menu looked promising so we went in. The atmosphere was OK. A Chinese theme, quite cosy and comfortable. The restaurant was about half full when we entered. Most people seemed to be having a good time. The only downside was the smell of cannabis smoke from... More

I went one lunchtime last week, the only person in at this time. A couple came in also sat looked at menu (and maybe the dreary interior) got up and left. I was not so smart. I ordered a chicken Satay dish, a short time later came a relatively small portion. Just the look of it gave me the idea... More

We ended up her after a few hours of searching for chinese food. The pricing seemed to be okay in front of the restaurant but the size of the meal isn't enough for both of us. The duck wasn't that good either. In addition to this, our furniture was a little bit wet of what ever.. Not good at all,... More

We ended up here by chance during some aimless wandering, after our first restaurant choice didn't work out. We ordered a "five-item" starter and the fifth item, in the center of the platter, was about two prawn crackers. The other items weren't really that appetizing. That thing was expensive, too. The beer had a unsatisfying taste. Did they wash the... More

Small restaurant right off the main strip. We ordered the beef dish off the Chinese and a shrimp off the Indonesian menu. Beef was a little chewy but the Indonesian dish was great. Clean restaurant.

We popped in here by chance on a visit to Amsterdam. The meal was hot, tasty and served quickly. We paid 47 euros for 2 starters, 2 mains meals with rice and 2 drinks.
