Nice ,as in ok food

We visited one evening , I had the chicken curry from the Indonesian menu & my Mrs had something from the Chinese menu . Both dishes where we'll cooked and tasty , however lacked a little spice . The restaurant seems to be run by one man , doing everything out front , and when it gets to 10pm ,... read more

In Amsterdam for one night only and suffering through a downpour in the skimpiest coat I took a detour off Damrag and found this little gem in the alley called Nieuwendijk. Now it is a small shop turned restaurant but it looks clean and warm and inviting. There are only around 50 seats and so I guess it could get... More

We entered this restaurant for lunch because we saw some good sets on the fast food menu at the door, however, when we were taking order the owner told us the portions are too small and not enough to eat. We did not know why he said that because the price of the sets is average (around 10 ~ 13)... More

We ordered the cantoniese special, we were suprised how small the portion was and that everything tasted the same. Food tasted nothing and the baked food was only fat and tints. I told the waitress that the baked pork was uneatble do to no meat only fat, she just said that the Chinese pork was fatter than the Dutch...

Myself and my friend were walking back from Madame Tussaud's looking for somewhere to eat and came across this place. The restaurant itself is small but lovely inside & a nice quiet atmosphere compared to the madness close by. I had the chicken fried rice with satay and spring rolls and my friend had a curry and noodles and we... More

My wife and I recently dined at the Java Chinese-Indonesian restaurant as we were hungry and this happened to be along the path to the de Bijenkorf. Unfortunately, apart from it's relatively central location, there's really nothing much to rave about. We ordered 2 sets from the fast food menu as we only wanted a light lunch. And a light... More

We spotted this restaurant after spending some time looking for a Chinese. The set menu looked promising so we went in. The atmosphere was OK. A Chinese theme, quite cosy and comfortable. The restaurant was about half full when we entered. Most people seemed to be having a good time. The only downside was the smell of cannabis smoke from... More

I went one lunchtime last week, the only person in at this time. A couple came in also sat looked at menu (and maybe the dreary interior) got up and left. I was not so smart. I ordered a chicken Satay dish, a short time later came a relatively small portion. Just the look of it gave me the idea... More

We ended up her after a few hours of searching for chinese food. The pricing seemed to be okay in front of the restaurant but the size of the meal isn't enough for both of us. The duck wasn't that good either. In addition to this, our furniture was a little bit wet of what ever.. Not good at all,... More

Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
