Description: Restaurant Jun is a modern Indonesian restaurant on the edge of the Amsterdam city centre and near the Jordaan area. Together with my team I prepare authentic Indonesian dishes and new dishes inspired by the Indonesian cuisine. We have an interesting wine card with delicious wines that go very well with the dishes we serve.

I read about this place on trip advisor when searching Indonesian restaurants in Amsterdam. Felt fortunate to have a reservation, and I do recommend getting one as the place is relatively small. We dined here on New Year's Eve with our family. We were warmly greeted and patiently instructed on the mechanics of the menu. Not too hard to understand,... More

We (a party of 6) spent New Year's Eve here and had a fantastic time. We ordered Rice Table 2. The food was terrific and plentiful (perhaps too plentiful !), our favourites were the sea-bass and lamb satay but it was all very good. The staff were very welcoming and the service excellent. In fact we ended up staying there... More

Not just the food was warm, so was the reception and the service. Our friends loved celebrating a birthday in this restaurant and this particular area. Jun is a small restaurant with a simple no-frills design in a different, non-touristy part of Amsterdam. This place, set up and run by its Indonesian owner excells in the famous Indo-Dutch 'rijsttafel'. There... More

Researched this for an Indonesian meal before visiting and was not disappointed. Food was very tasty - my only minor issue was chicken was a bit fatty for my taste. Had a set menu which was fine for choice and quantity. Host and service charming. Reasonably priced overall.

This restaurant ticks all the boxes - friendly, efficient service, fresh food, expertly prepared with clean, modern decor. Make a reservation as this is not a large restaurant and you don't want to miss this gem.

Every time I visit a foreign country or new city, I'm so happy to read where the locals go. So now it's my time to tell you what I like in my city. In Amsterdam you will numerous Indonesian restaurants. The overall quality is quite good. However most of the restaurants tend to serve food that has lost its freshness... More

I heard from friends that the menu had been changed and hungry as I was I went back to Jun. In my previous review I already wrote about the interior so I won't do that again. This time I want to share the joy I had again of eating the classy food they serve and explain why I always have... More

A little out of the way, but well worth the effort. We ate there on a Sunday evening so it was not busy. The Indonesian rice bowl was wonderful. The owner, Mr.Junaedy, came out to talk with us to insure we were happy with our meal. He was concerned that it may be too spicy for westerners, but we assured... More

A friend recommended that on my next visit to Amsterdam that I must try Indonesian food. So trip advisor was interrogated and came up with Jun. It was a fantastic meal with great flavours and absolutely fresh. All the food is cooked in full view by some lovely smiling ladies with no fuss or shouting as you sometimes see in kitchens.... More
