Best Japanese style bar in town

This is my favourite and I think it the best Japanese style bar in Amsterdam. With a wide variety of choice for sake and dishes you can feel as if you were drinking and eating in Japan. The atmosphere is also similar to one in Japan. The price is also rather reasonable. I recommend.

It was freezing outside so we decided we wanted some ramen. We tried a variety of dishes at this restaurant and everything was delicious. Our spouses really enjoyed the options for sake.

A small piece of Japan in Amsterdam. A cozy izakaya run by Japanese people. Speciality is Yakitori, or barbequed ,meat and vegetables which is accompanied with other dishes. Like a real Izakaya, a meal consists of ordering and sharing loose dishes. Does not sell Sushi.

What amazing food! Skewers absolutely tasting and variety, just allocate you time and taste all and you will be happy. Prices are ok, in line with what you get. The pork belly and Japanese beef got a gold medal!!

Always on the look out for real Asian food, food as it is also offered in the country of origin. Today we tried Hakata Senpachi, suggested by a Japanese customer of my son. We had different types of Yakitori all fantastic, especially the Unagi. We had Ramen, Udong and a fantastic platter of assorted Sashimi. Japanes food as it is... More

With this restaurant, I finally found a reasonably-priced Japanese restaurant in Amsterdam, with authentic Japanese flavours and without being stuck to choosing sushi. Great, cozy and informal atmosphere - mainly Japanese coming here, which definitely says something about the quality. Portions seem small but are filling, and every dish tastes absolutely wonderful. The only reason why I didn't give five... More

We started with sashimi and pickles and continued with yakitori (skewers). Both were extremely good. The fish quality was superb and it was expertly cut. There is a very large choice of skewers, some of them challenging like sun-dried squid or chicken stomachs, and everything we tried was freshly prepared, well seasoned and very tasty. The atmosphere is relaxed, extremely... More

The place was amazing, food and service was superb, just the price... I would recommend to go there for finger food and drinks, not full dinner

Although this small and, for Japanese standards, rather grubby-ish restaurant serves grilled skewers and other Japanese food during the evening hours, it is also known for its Hakata or Tonkotsu ramen with its authentic broth made from boiling pork bones. The ramen was indeed hearty and full of deep flavour with almost "al dente" noodles. One of the best noodle... More

Apparently somewhere Japanese expats go for a taste of home, and I understand why. The experience was very close to what I've had in Tokyo, with a large variety of skewered meats, and plenty of other treats, including ramen, rice balls, raw scallops and more. Highly recommended. Be prepared for a very smoky atmosphere, though, so probably not the place... More
