Although this small and, for Japanese standards, rather grubby-ish restaurant serves grilled skewers and other Japanese food during the evening hours, it is also known for its Hakata or Tonkotsu ramen with its authentic broth made from boiling pork bones. The ramen was indeed hearty and full of deep flavour with almost "al dente" noodles. One of the best noodle... More

Apparently somewhere Japanese expats go for a taste of home, and I understand why. The experience was very close to what I've had in Tokyo, with a large variety of skewered meats, and plenty of other treats, including ramen, rice balls, raw scallops and more. Highly recommended. Be prepared for a very smoky atmosphere, though, so probably not the place... More

If you really want to taste and enjoy japanese food go there. Together with the hight quality and taste of the different dishes, and I especially recommend the Ramen, you will get excellent services, best atmosphere, shining restroom and much more.

Very nice restaurant, not the usual Japanese though - which is nice. It looks a bit as an Izakaya, which I experience in Japan but never outside it (I am not sure if Hakan Senpachi is an Izakaya actually!). Wooden interiors, less minimalist than average Japanese restaurant. There are sits around the counter, as often for Japanese restaurant. However, instead... More

It's really quite special to find such an authentic place outside of Japan. Even in Tokyo I am very picky when it comes to my Ramen, so I was pleasantly surprised that the taste of the broth (soup) was excellent. The noodles were a bit dry, and the portion was a bit on the small side. But who can complain... More

Great japanese restautant. Try ramen and gyoza on weekends, from 12 to 3pm. The environment is really good, real japanese food, made by japanese people. They also have manga for reading

I went once a few months ago for dinner with 3 Japanese friends and had already found it fantastic. I went back for an improvised Saturday lunch (knowing that this is when and only when they serve ramen) and I was blown away! This was hands down one of the best dishes I've had, let alone THE best ramen! I... More

You won't find anything better than this place! Go for the ramen in the weekend at the ramen lunch, it's the best in town! Really authentic! Very friendly service!
