Lovely

It's tucked away in a side street so it doesn't attract as many tourists as a lot of places. This means you don't have to pay tourist trap prices which is always a bonus. Lovely long bar which was great for sitting at and chatting to the bar staff. Nothing was too much trouble. They really made us... read more

Walking in and you know your in a great pub,the interior is just so cool,we got a seat at the bar as this pub was seriously busy were we had a study of the beer menu. Came here today with family from Australia, and we had a great Dutch EetCafe experience! Lovely food and drinks (great coffee) and the staff were incredibly friendly! I would definitely come again :)

Found this pub down a quieter street in Amsterdam. The food was inexpensive and really nice, as well as the service being good!

My husband and I decided to come here randomly when our feet needed a break and we loved it. The service was easily the friendliest we had during our week in Amsterdam. The waitress took the time to make recommendations regarding the beers and what food to try. Everything was tasty and the portions were large. We also were travelling... More

A favorite off our daughter for some time. When visiting the Amsterdam light festival we had a early diner in this restaurant. They have a limited base menu with all the Amsterdam favorites and daily specials. They also have a nice bear selection. You cannot make a reservation and the place is often crowded. The food is good, the portions... More

Spend the morning browsing around the shops and walked down a side street for some lunch. Came across this place. Deceptive when you first walk in as it appears small but walk beyond the bar and there is more seating. Good was very quick to arrive and was good quality and very reasonably priced. The bar staff were very helpful... More

We stopped by for some lunch, the outdoor seating has heaters so it's nice and cozy.We enjoyed a nice bowl of soup, which came with a big portion of fresh bread and a delicious garlic butter spread. The "cat mascot"was with us the entire time, just chillin under the hot lights,so we decided to try one of the local beers as well ,since he... Came to this little restaurant for breakfast with my three fellow holiday goers. The staff were very friendly and service was quick. We all had drinks, croissants and a lunch totalling to a little over 30 euro. The portions were a good size and the food was amazing. Very impressed. I miss it already

The food was all very tasty, and the outdoor seating very inviting, but the service was very unprofessional and disorganized. People seated after us served first and left before we even got our food. The waitstaff was peasant but acted like they didn't know each other. A very long lunch...

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
