Good gastro pub in the very centre of the city. Beef was of a good quality and the atmosphere was informal and friendly. I would recommend it.
We stumbled upon this place one afternoon when doing a bit of shopping. We wanted hearty food as it was freezing outside and this bar was warm and inviting, not to mention really busy so we thought we'd give it a go. The food was plain but good. They have a few specials on the menu every day and the... More
Thís place feels very genuine, and is obviously popular with the locals. We went on a Monday night, around 8, and there where just the right amount of guests. Attentive staff, very friendly. I ordered the week special Pepper Steak and didn´t expect much for 8,95 - but it was delicious. A real bargain! Very tender, perfectly cooked and with... More
Stopped for a beer and stayed for steak and chips. Very welcoming staff, had long chats with them! Food decent pub style, not gourmet but great value steak and chips for €8.95. Nice atmosphere and decor, mixture of locals and tourists. Recommended
It was very busy but the food was quick. The staff took the time for us what we have experienced as very pleasant. As starter we have beef tenderloin carpaccio with balsamic dressing and rocket salad and as min course the steak. It was all very delicious and freshly prepared. We will definitely come back if we are in Amsterdam.
The staff is very helpfull, fast and polite. The food was in one word great. It's nice that you can sit outside. Go her certainly return and recommend it to anyone.
A nice, easy accessible, place in downtown Amsterdam. A lot of students come here for a good and tasty meal but above all for the favourable price. The staff is friendly and adequate and the blond host always welcomes us (for the past 7 years) with the already famous words: 'Jongens vijf minuutjes' (guys, another five minutes)! I would really... The food here is fine, and the service is friendly, but it's pretty pedestrian stuff, at least for lunch - sandwiches and a few hot dishes. Not a bad place, but don't go out of your way.
We were looking for "the best fries place in Amsterdam" according to Tripadvisor when we discovered this restaurent. It was a rainy day and quite chilly but the interior was too warm (relieving for the first 10 minutes, suffocating after). The ambience was just perfect, packed with customers, nice rustic country looking decor. The waitresses were very nice and friendly,... More
