Usually when I take a trip to Europe, I will start craving for some Chinese food after a few days. It's a the same this time, so we went to Chinatown and find a place for dinner. Saw this little restaurant and decided to give it a go. The food is really very good. The wanton soup is very tasty.... More

I don't usually go to Chinese restaurants on holidays, but before catching our flight home, Nam Kee was an excellent choice. It is very reasonably priced, and well situated in Museumplein. The atmosphere is lovely, and you know you are going to have authentic food if there are a lot of Chinese customers inside. The dishes are all excellent (I... More

Nam Kee serves well prepared, tasty food and good beer. Attentive service and resonable prices. My wife and I had a week day lunch with peking soup, a wide selection of starters, topped by babi pangang and three beers each; total damage 48€. Coming from an oyster producing country we were not impressed by the steamed oysters, apperently in contrast... More

Nice location, ok prices and fine if you are just hungry. No real good food though. Just the oysters are great, forget the Peking duck or the dim sums

Forget the fries, go to Nam Kee for authentic homemade Chinese food. Order at least one oyster per person as these are the best you will taste anywhere. The food is fresh and not made for the tourist crowd. Local place for people who know what good chinese food is! (No PUPU platter here!!)

As my favorite lunchplace was closed due to technical incidents strolled on to the Heinekenplein for a late chinese lunch. This was the worst lunch EVER. The place was empty except for the Chinese food couriers that were stationed at the entrance, plus their friends. We were stationed right next to them literally 6 cm apart divided by a Chinese... We had been here a couple of years ago. But returning was a big disappointment. We decided have a bite here, because the sign outside announced a menu for 8,50 - only once seated were we told that this is a lunch only offer. So we ordered a Peking duck and a wonton soup. The duck was edible, but very... More

Relied on Tripadvisor for a meal with some work colleagues after a long day. Expected so much more from the comments posted but should have known from the menu design (all pictures and so many pages) it would be full of awful ingredients and prepared with what looked like MSG or similar filler. The only thing that was nice was... More
