What an amazing way to celebrate my wife's birthday!

We stayed at the Wyndham Apollo Hotel and after some searching for a good meal nearby, we saw that this restaurant in the hotel came highly recommended by most (except the person on 19 May??). This restaurant, situated at the Wyndham Apollo Hotel in Amsterdam must not be missed. Excellent food /wine whilst overlooking the canals - what more could you ask for. To top it all, the excellent service, highly recommended.

If you want service don't come here. Shorten menu after 9. Waiter takes forever to come to the table. They seem to be disorganized and restaurant was half full.

'de pijp'; most of tourists don't really visit this part of Amsterdam. A pity. Because it is the best part of Amsterdam that you can really walk through and experience daily life in a splendid environment. In the evening we've been to 'la sirène'. The genuine proof that those Dutch people really can cook. Price - quality balance is extremely... More

This nice waterfront hotel and restaurant is located on the Southside of Amsterdam where five canals meet. The place in this high rent district has been around since 1961 and offers a wonderful view while dining. La Sirene has a reputation for serving fine cuisine at reasonable prices. We had an excellent 3-course menu with corresponding wines for 50 euros.... More

During a brief visit to Amsterdam we decided to try La Sirene based on other reviews and its proximity to our hotel. We had a very enjoyable dinner in terms of cuisine, ambience and service (Cynthia amongst others). The menu tends to emphasize wine but beer is also available. We enjoyed a 3-course menu with 2 options for each course... More

La Sirene restaurant is based in the Wyndham hotel. But whoever said you should not eat in hotels, just like you should not sleep in restaurants, was wrong (at least, about the former part). The place is spacious, comfortable, has a fantastic view of the meeting point of 5 canals with lots of activity going on. Most of the staff... More

Last tuesday we had a diner at La Sirene, the restaurant that is situated in the Wyndham Apollo Hotel. The view is great and the atmoshere very relaxed. Our host Marc was very friendly and professional. Together with Mehmed they were a great team. The food was both pretty as tastful. The advised wines combined very well with the food.... More

Such a vibrant place within the Wyndham Apollo Hotel. Relax by the living flame fire or in the Churchill Lounge whilst chilling to the Cafe Adel Mar esq sounds after a hard day at the office.

A very pleasant surprise! Delicious food, excellent pairings of wine, incredibly knowledgeable sommelier and engaging and personable service. Paired with a unique view over water. What more could you ask for? Although the Wyndham Hotel is not the prettiest from the outside, nor is the entry to the car park very welcoming, La Sirene is wonderful! Do not let the... More
