We were walking past and saw the long line. So we stopped and ordered a medium with just plain ketchup. These fries were hot, crispy, non-greasy and absolutely delicious. A wonderful snack to share.

There is nothing special about these fries. Unless you go there for the weed sauce, which it won't try for moral reasons, I don't see what all the hype is about,

Dear Akehurs, I'm glad you've found our store on Tripadvisor BUT the references you've made cann't be from our store as we don't sell weed-sauce! If you'll look at the pictures of our store at Tripadvisor you can see that the store you went to is different than the store you refer to. That store also sells fries and the... More

While walking around the Dam district, along Damrak, we came across Vlaamse frites (75 mtrs from C&A towards Central station). The fries are cooked to order, very crispy and you have the option of nearly 30 different sauces to choose from. We actually snacked here 3 times during our recent visit to Amsterdam

Loved the fries with mayo, a really big portion for just 2,90 euros. I recommend these fries to all!

Very central place to eat your portion of dutch chips. The owner looks like he knows what he's doing, and he's been doing it for a long time. The chips are hot, fresh and tasty. Worth waiting in the line for 5 minutes.

Yes, it is a popular local snack but to have fries on the damrak goes beyond reason. To be fare the fries are ok but the setting is terrible. Wander further afield for better.

4 visits to Amsterdam and been here 4 times, I used to live in vlissingen and the Dutch know how to serve chips, this snack bar will give you about 60 choices of topping, my favourite is "pincer" sauce basically hot peanut butter on chip, only cost £2, but look at the list on the wall and it's hot everything... When in Amsterdam, you will find a plenty of places offering fries. This one is the best of them. The fries is thicker than the normal french fries, crispy, and tasty. Fries is served in cones and comes in 3 different sizes. There is huge selection of add-on sauce from normal ketchup and mayonnaise to curry sauce, etc. The service... More
