My husband and I just ate at TerraZen after it was highly recommended to us. We couldn't have been more disappointed and disillusioned. The atmosphere was typical hippie grunge and the service was along the same lines. When ordering, customers are asked to write their requests on a note book. We ordered the mock chicken curry with roti and sweet... More

This restaurant is well located close to Damrak and the train station, and although it looks very run down, and the furniture can best be called a brave mix, I immediately liked the relaxed atmosphere. The reggae music and the vibe of the place really cheered me up. The owner/chef is quite a character and was very friendly, and I... More

The service was somehow bad, ok, but the food and its quality balances it. One of the few places where you get brown rice, good quality produce (vegetables, tofu, etc.) and tasty vegetarian dishes (e.g. miso soup, tofu, beans) of an Asian & Carribean fusion cuisine. There is even a raw food dish on the menu. The prices range around... More

As vegetarian you have to try TerraZen. The place is great and easy to reach. The restaurant is tiny and it feels more like a family dining place then a restaurant, which makes it even more awesome. The food so super fresh and missing ingredient get be bought directly at a fresh corner store beside the place. The person work... More

I had nice time in this place until I needed to pay. Apparently, you need to pay 10% more if you come after 6 pm. I didn't know that so I asked the owner why I need to pay more- reasonable question. Then, he started to yell at me that he's not a lier and I should be ashame for... More

I had the sauted tofu, my husband had the vegan chicken burger. Both were excellent, very tasty food. This place is owned by a caribian-asian couple, who were really nice and helpful. This restaurant doesn't look like much, but the food is worth it!

The Jamaican/Japanese couple running the place are super nice and fun. The food feels like you've been invited to eat at someone's place and his mom is cooking for you. Assuming that the mother is half-Jamaican half-Japanese and likes to listen to Bob Marley while cooking. Great home-made vegan food with a smile. Absolutely recommended!

The place is very hidden, walked in there more or less randomly. It seemed a bit dodgy on first sight but the friendly, be it slow, service and the delicious udon noodles made up for it. Can only recommend this place if you want to chill out and have a relaxed meal.

This cafe is fully vegan with a Japanese and Caribbean menu. Sounds odd? Yes, but the food is good. You'll get a head full of reggae music too, which I have to say is not my favourite... The cafe itself could do with a bit of a face lift but as it's a small place with a not too expensive... More
