Amazing ramen

I eat here regularly. It's always packed and as they don't accept reservations there are often queues. The broth is absolutely fantastic, as are the noodles. But the best thing in my opinion is the silky tofu starter, served with an amazing smoky chili sauce. Wow!

It was a cold night and we were craving for something soupy. Spotted this place & there was a queue so we decided to try it out. Took awhile to get a seat but well worth the wait. A good bowl of ramen considering we are in Amsterdam. Broth was rich of porky flavour & the noodles had a nice... More

The dutch waiter doesn't smile and the 2 japanese who i think cooks ( they were inside the counter) also have problems on smiling and didn't bother to ask about the food. The japanese girl who served us were nice but the other staffs made our stay not comfortable. Small place, not worth it. The ramen was average.

We arrived right at 9:00 p.m. closing and they let us in anyway. We didn't notice the limited acceptance of credit cards and didn't have enough Euros, but they were very pleasant about it and we walked across the street to the ATM so we could pay. $26 for two big bowls of ramen. Perfectly flavored miso, but the pork... More

So far my best ramen in Amsterdam (I know there some others which I haven't tried yet). Tonkotsu (boiled with pork bone) base soup is tasty though I like a little stronger and saltier taste.

Great ramen, and excellent side dishes as well. Seems to be aimed more at having a quick bite than a full dinner, given the atmosphere.

A friend took me here for a quick dinner. We both had the classic tonkotsu ramen and shared a cold tofu starter. The ramen was tasty with good quality creamy broth, the way tonkotsu broth should be. The portions were just right. The tofu was silky and tasted very delicious with just the right amount of spiciness. This is a... More

We just had a quick bite to eat here. The gyoza were very fresh and tasty and we shared a very decent sized soup. Very quick service and buzzy atmosphere. Int he heart of a lovely area. Perfect for a quick lunch.

Really great ramen, amazing gyoza and fast service. All at a reasonable price too. Highly recommended.

Staying in Jordaan

Neighborhood Profile
Jordaan
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
