FIRST LUNCH STOP IN AMSTERDAM

We had just arrived in Amsterdam for 2 days, did the Anne Franke Haus tour and needed something to eat. Found this little place on our walk back to the hotel. Sandwiches were very good and hit the spot. Owner was nice and helped us Americans who was struggling to start our Dollar to Euro's change!

In a neighborhood that's gotten pretty pricey, this little sandwich shop offers simple, delicious sandwiches and very reasonable prices. Pastrami, served warm on brown bread - 4.35 euro. They're famous for their club sandwiches, which like great although I've yet to try it. No frills, and sometimes that's what hits the spot.

We had a very pleasant brunch sitting outside this café on a busy street. The portions were huge and coffee delicious. The chap who served us was pretty laid back and the food arrived at different times but this was not a problem. I think the cutlery could have done with a better wash, but apart from that I would... Please go have the best club sandwich ever! It is where the locals go to enjoy a great club sandwich - breakfast and regular clubs are my favorite and you can't get any better anywhere in the world.... It is great value and absolutely the best in the world as compared to its sister restaurant ROEM which is equally as... More

This UNESCO World Heritage Site is as historically significant as it is perennially popular. Whether you’re a history buff, architecture enthusiast, shutterbug, or fashionista, odds are you’ll find the Amsterdam you're looking for while roaming around the Grachtengordel (Canal Ring). A brilliant place to get lost in a moody meander and a key component to any sightseeing trip to Amsterdam, this area's major draws include the Anne Frank House, the Bloemenmarkt floating flower market, an enviable assortment of independent boutiques along De Negen Straatjes, and of course all of Grachtengordel’s lovely canals and bridges.
