A hidden Gem

This restaurant really is a hidden gem - great food, mostly organic, some of the best meat and fish I have tasted, wonderful staff, well worth a visit. The owners and staff are very welcoming and friendly, we had a fantastic evening.

Tucked away in a quieter area but worth the journey. Very friendly staff, and a patient owner who explained all the dishes to us. Everything top notch, from starters to excellent lamb specials. They even threw in a complimentary plate of desserts for my daughter's birthday. A lovely relaxing evening, we would go back again.

Nice neighbourhood restaurant. Traditional Greek dishes on the menu but also daily specials with less standard fare. Very friendly service. Recommended.

We encountered this restaurant purely by hazard a couple of months ago, but now we are regular guests. After every visit, we are already looking forward to the next one because: excellent food and an excellent service make a fantastic evening! The owner is very friendly and unique, the moment he explains how the dish is made, you know that... More

We visited this restaurant several times and it is always pleasant with good food. The Greek kitchen does not strike us as very culinary, but this restaurant makes an exception, especially when you order one of the specialities written on the blackboard. This time we had the chicken thighs with spinach and feta sauce and the beef stifado. Both excellent.... More

This was our second visit to this friendly Greek restaurant. The menu is not extensive, but their food is well cooked and the service is second to none. Definitely worth a visit!

I have to admit I'm biased as for five plus years I dined at the greek taverna at least twice a month. The land is exceptional. The musaka is great. Hummus fantastic. Only challenge was the fresh duck which still had gun shot in it. Try the Greek red wines and it makes doe a nice reasonably priced evening. Enjoy!

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
