Excellent craft beer emporium. Accidentally ended up with a 12% ABV whisky beer, but was well worth the mistake. Already planning a return visit to try some more beers. Bar has the feel of being in someone's kitchen with what appears to be a tasting table downstairs with lots of beer mugs hung up ready to be filled. Looks interesting.... More

Don't miss this place. There is both a brewery tap house (for us English folk) or tasting room for those that are familiar with European/Dutch bar culture. A lot of them seemed quite sweet to me but the triple was amazing. Willeke is the name i think.

In the red light district of Amsterdam, this brewery has a lot of different beers. You can also do a tour of the brewery. This tour is hosted by a very nice guy called Dries, who is telling you everything about beer and how to make it.

Tucked in an alley in the red light district this place has charm. The bar tenders have personality and are very helpful. Our bartender Tim was very helpful in explaining about the beer. Some were unsure about what they wanted. Tim gave a small test of something he thought they liked which was perfect. We ended staying for more than... More

Delicious date beer for the holiday season, a nice enivorment, and great music! I didn´t spend too much time at De Prael, but my short experience definitely made me want to go back as soon as possible!

I spent a lovely Sunday afternoon at De Prael. The beer was very good and the staff helpful in terms of being able to advise what to try. Good quality food too. I was particularly impressed by the three piece jazz band who played well and unobtrusively. I didn't know about the social action policy of the bar apart from... More

The brewery employs a lot of people that would not get a job in a 'regular' cafe/restaurant but who deserve a decent job nonetheless, for example people who have been in a psychiatric hospital for a while. Therefore some dumb people will post a review, complaining about the lousy service they got. They are truly dumb! This place is a... More

Well worth a visit + ensure you also try their liquors just round the corner. The fish and chips were also amazing.

The Beers are good and fairily priced. We asked for all ten beers on tap and the waitress was very nice and explained all of them to us, one by one. The food was a very good match. Try the 'smoked' version of Andre (the name in dutch is something like 'cremated Andre'), it's a very unique smoky beer that... More
