Seafood lovers paradise!

I had the most wonderful meal here. I am not a big eater so just ordered the crab cakes and a side of stir-fried spinach. It was the most wonderful meal and i highly recommend this venue. The seafood bar looked amazing, all that fresh seafood kept in an icy cold display, the attentive and friendly... read more

This is an expensive restaurant with average seafood. It has a nice outdoor and indoor seating area.

One of the best if not the best and freshest seafoods I have ever had. Must order the seafood tower, would not regret it, you get to try a little but of everything. The service was excellent as the ambience.

Really excellent restaurant although if you are sat waiting for a table and want wine, ask for the full menu, rather than the drinks menu, which has only the most expensive bottles.

First meal after flying from Tanzania night before. Delish! Great dry rose', perfect atmosphere, amazing plump oysters, creamy and generous lobster bisque and fun people watching. Under the canopy, the rain didn't affect me only to make it my like a movie scene. Perfect first meal in Amsterdam after a day at the museums!!

If you are in be museum district look this place up. It's always crowded but worth waiting for to satisfy your seafood craving. Fresh oysters of which there are 3 kinds. Lobsters, Alaskan crab. It's a bit pricey but for the kind of seafood they serve its worth it. Staffs are very friendly. Sit on the bar and you can... More

On hotel recommendation, visited the seafood bar on saturday night. It was quite busy still at 10pm. Sat at the bar. The head of the cold bar noticed that we sat there for a while and offered us some chilli prawns. Still the wait staff took his time. when ordering he was completely uninterested. The food started arriving but the... More

I've been to Amsterdam for business three times. Each time, the wait was too long for the business group. However, on this trip, we decided to wait, and it was real quick. I actually believe they opened up a second location in the City. We shared the scallop ceviche marinated in orange juice and tequila, which made an interesting combination.... More

We had our first meal in Amsterdam here--because we love fish and that's all they serve! The line at the door of the narrow, bright restaurant told us we'd come to the right place. A short wait and we were seated at a high table and a sack of warm bread arrived. We started off with the tiny sweet Dutch... More

Go hungry. The food is fresh and portions large. A true seafood lovers dream. Incredible variety. And beautifully presented. We feasted until we could barely move!

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
