Don't be put off by the construction going on outside the hotel. This is a true gem. If you like Italian food, then this is the place for you. The food was well prepared and artistically presented. If you pay cash, they will offer you an after dinner drink - we chose the Sambucca. If you are thinking of going... More

We read the reviews. The one about service could be correct on any given day. It is very casual and very laid back. If you are in a hurry probably not a good choice. We were the first to arrive (a half hour before they opened) and we sat around with the staff over a glass of wine. This may... More

Beautiful location in the museum and shopping district. Friendly owner. House red wine is perfect. If you don't see what you want on the menu ask if chef can make it. Reasonable price for the best Italian meal I've ever had.

After 8 days on a Bike and Barge Tour (it was great BTW), my wife and I were looking for a change of pace - something intimate, with a friendly atmosphere and great food. Classico was recommended and certainly delivered. I highly recommend this restaurant, and will return when next in Amsterdam.

I am sure the food is very good but our meal was ruined by the incredibly slow service- one hour for our pasta to appear. The waiter seemed to think this unexceptional.

This quaint, romantic restaurant was the greatest find during our stay in Amsterdam. The staff was wonderful and the food was delicious! From the fresh tomato in the bruschetta to the wine, we totally enjoyed the experience. It was within walking distance to our hotel and was reasonably priced. We enjoyed the outside dining experience on our first visit while... More

On our first night in Amsterdam we found this restaurant just across the road from where we were saying; as there were not many people inside and I hadn’t checked it out on Trip Advisor we carried on to another restaurant. After checking it out we went the next night and it was one of the best Italian meals we... More

We were looking for the Pulpo but think that the Pulpo and Classico are actually the same restaurant (possibly under new management though we don't know) We asked for the 29.50 Euro menu and were offered a lovely red pepper soup, a choice of veal or fish for our main and tiramisu for desert. All were delicious especially the fish... More

A secret delight, Great fresh food and special service. A great find in a confusingly difficult city for real food.

In Amsterdam for the day and found this restaurant when walking back to the car. Walked in and had a table straight away. The bite size bruschetta was delicious and the bread with olive paste very appetising. Both starter and main dish portions were good and extremely tasty. Tiramisu was creamy and worth the calories. Would certainly go back and... More
