Be sure you have a reservation... The first night we didn't, but they kindly worked us in. It's a small plates/ tapas style place. Very small. The food was sensationsal so we went back a second night. The also have a larger area for lunch.

I was in Amsterdam with my boyfriend for five days and we walked past Foodism everyday on our way to and from the centre to our accommodation in Jordaan. We decided to go there for dinner on the last night of our stay, and although we did not make a reservation, they luckily gave us a table and they explained... More

Friendly, easy going, small and intimate, serving a delicious food (The avocado salad and the dates on their menu's first page is a must!). It is a small, family style restaurant, nothing fancy but with great vibes and friendly service offering variety of Mediterranean dishes with Balkan influence. I have tried many dishes on their menu and I was always... More

The food was so flavorfull, and the service constant and helpful. We just happened by and were welcomed like old friends. Worth the stroll.

I had dinner here with some colleagues. We had the chefs surprise menu, since we really didn't know any of the dishes. We got some chicken wings, an egg plant, some gambas, the leg of rabit, two salads, etc. The dishes were all nice, though the rabbit was slightly dry. We sat inside on a hot evening, and the door... I have now visited twice at Foodism. The food has been excellent both times, but there's some improvement needed in the service. Waiters are realy friendly but the problem is to catch their attention. On our first visit, the third wine bottle offered was the one we actually ordered. This was compensated nicely with free prosecco in the end of... More

Based on the other reviews we were expecting something above average. To begin with we waited 35 minutes just to be handed the menu. The frigging menu. 35 minutes. The waitress spilled food on me almost ruining my pants, which I completely forgave her for because it can happen, but I quickly found out that she (and I) weren't just... More

Ate here with friends on a rainy Monday night and the place was packed, with good reason! The restaurant is quite simple inside, typical of many places in Amsterdam. The walls could do with a bit of a paint (food splashes here and there) but the tables were clean. With the place full there was a lot of atmosphere so... More

We went to the cafe part of this restaurant on two mornings during our visit to Amsterdam. Fantastic coffee and snacks, the sandwiches were particular delicious and excellent value for money. €3.50 for one stuffed with mozzarella, tomato and home made pesto. If we lived there we would be there often and only wish we had visited in the evening... More
