Love LaCacerola

We stayed at a friends apartment on the prinsengracht, just a few blocks from LaCacerola. First went in June 2013, a few months after the current owner took over. It was outstanding. The iberico pork was the best pork I have ever eaten (I am from New Orleans, and hosted a radio show with one... read more

I went for the surprise menu without knowing what was going to arrive at my plate. Service was relaxed and food was great. The starter was the 'hide and seek' which was slim layer of ribeye with a pumpkin purée. Churrasco Steak was perfectly cooked perfectly and authentic. A great night and dinner :-) will definitely return

Our service and food here was excellent. It was a slow evening and our server knew that we were out of towners and asked us if we would like any recommendations on other restaurants and things to do. My husband got pork and I got steak. Both were so tender and juicy. We had scallops as an appetizer and they... More

Great tiny authenctic restaurant. Owner prepares and cooks everything himself and still visits your table to check if everyone is having a great time. The bread was super fresh and had special delicious dips which i havent come across in any restaurant; the steak was right from the grill and perfect medium rare. One of the wine connaisseurs of our... More

This is a hole in the wall on a back street of Amsterdam. We were offered the tasting menu, but since this was our first visit we were a bit cautious. Our hosts in Amsterdam recommended the place but who knows? I decided on three appetizers, hesitant to commit to a full portion of anything. My scallops were perfectly cooked... More

I already knew that the steak is of superb quality here (I'd say the very best in Amsterdam in this price range) from a previous visit. This time I came in late and let my two friends have the last two remaining steaks with morilles and decided myself to try the Iberico Pork. The meat was of a great texture,... More

This small, family-run restaurant has loads of character (it is located in an old house in a street running perpendicular to the Prinsengracht) and very friendly staff. The menu is small but everything is really delicious!

Enjoyed walking around looking for this place and was delighted with the result. Very comfortable inside and just very tasty food. Not much more to say about it, just enjoy!
