Description: MOES is a bar and restaurant in the basement underneath De Appel arts center. Seasonal, local products are the basis of the international menu. Once a month, the menu is completely without fish or meat. MOES makes a modest contribution to reducing the distance from farm to fork by growing it's own herbs in the garden.2012 Architects from Rotterdam designed the interior with the same philosophy: what you can get from nearby, is good. Through a 'harvest map' building materials from the environment are found and re-used.Opening hours: Tuesday - Friday 17h00-23h00, Saturday 12h00-23h00, Sunday 12h00-18h00 and Monday closed. Groups of 10 or more people can contact us for business or private meetings outside opening hours

I tried to go to Moes this morning with a friend. It was supposed to be open from 11 but the door was firmly shut. A helpful guy working in the adjoining gallery was out sweeping leaves and suggested we go in through the gallery. We did but there wasn't a single person inside. Chairs were still up on tables... After long walk on sunny day of November the 1st, and many taken photoe, I could do a refreshment, juice, cappuccino and maybe something else. I saw a couple of tables on the sidewalk - a little "terrace" - and began to read the menu. I was going to order three fried eggs as well. I was sitting and my... More

My nan and I visited for a spot of dinner based on good trip advisor reviews. It was really great. The food was exquisite, we could see it being freshly prepared. The staff were very friendly and told us a little bit about the food being locally sourced. The atmosphere is great. I love the way the decor incorporated local... More

I loved the food and atmosphere there. A very cosy place to chat with your friends, eat good food and enjoy your meal. The prices are also reasonably good.

My husband and I stumbled upon Moes on our way back to the railway station. There were a couple of signs outside showing you what you could order so we walked down a few steep steps to get into the place & got greeted by the barman. I ordered the apple pie & soft drink and the pie was delicious.... More

Discovered Moes by TripAdvisors App looking for a good place to eat. The asparagus soup was a great starter and the meals were fabulous. The staff was friendly and professional. We found Moes easy to find with the address and looking for Appel Arts Centr. A Great Find.

We went to Moes for afternoon drinks when we were visiting the Appel Arts Centre above it, and were really impressed by the decor by young Rotterdam architects, the friendly service and nice drinks. It's a very informal place, with a nice quirky feel to the whole affair. It's a bit off the beaten track but a nice walk along... More

Found the place by accident on our way to the Botanic gardren. We had some trouble getting our stroller down the steep stairs but it was definitly worth the effort. Relaxing atmosphere, good food and friendly staff!

Booked a table at Moes on Saturday night. We didn't want to go to a chain restaurant and saw this online, after reading several good reviews. It was 5 minutes from Central Station, near to where we were staying. It is a real nice place, the staff were friendly and welcoming. We only had mains as we had eaten a... More
