MOES is a bar and restaurant in the basement underneath De Appel arts center. Seasonal, local products are the basis of the international menu. Once a month, the menu is completely without fish or meat. MOES makes a modest contribution to reducing the distance from farm to fork by growing it's own herbs in the garden.2012 Architects from Rotterdam designed the interior with the same philosophy: what you can get from nearby, is good. Through a 'harvest map' building materials from the environment are found and re-used.Opening hours: Tuesday - Friday 17h00-23h00, Saturday 12h00-23h00, Sunday 12h00-18h00 and Monday closed. Groups of 10 or more people can contact us for business or private meetings outside opening hours

Stay away from the tourist crowd and enjoy one of the nicest restaurants in the heart of Amsterdam. Authentic cooking with fresh produce. It's difficult to choose from the many original dishes on the menu. Today I had homemade ravioli with veal and the best cob ('skrei') I have ever tasted with croquettes with mackerell (light as a feather). Perfect... More

Very close to the Grand Hotel Amrath, we stumbled on this nearby and stopped here for lunch. It was very quiet... just 4 other tables. I had the Porcini rosotto which was simple, fresh and delicious and my partner had the burger and fries with the chunkiest chips that I've seen in a long time.

We booked this through the tripadvisor website on valentines day 2015 and not completely trusting it (it didn't work for another of the restaurants) we asked our hotel to call them and all was well. When we got there a very polite and attentive waitress took us to our table and told us of the valentines set menu (the whole... More

great restaurant in funky surroundings. All food really fresh and delicious, wine excellent. Meal for 4 cost 143 euro which we thought was great value for the quality. Friendly serving staff.

Had a wonderful time here! we had the valentines set menu which with discount was only €24 each including 2 separate starters, mussels (I swapped this for bruschetta)and then scallops with roasted vegetables and a parsnip purée. Then either lobster or cod. Both delicious! And Ice cream to finish! And a glass of cava each! The service was excellent, dishes... More

This is a great place nearby central station, they serve pure and tasty food and you can have a view on the kitchen. I liked the amount of ciders they have, but they have also good wines and beers.

Was looking for a place to eat that wasn't an Italian based meal or steak house and was not disappointed Seasonal produce served to a high standard and not to expensive considering where you are. Would most definitely recommend and try again when in the area.

Friendly service, good food and beer! Comfortable and cosy inside. Always a good sign to be able to see your food being prepared. Plenty of Veggie options - they do a veggie only menu one day a month too.

I tried to go to Moes this morning with a friend. It was supposed to be open from 11 but the door was firmly shut. A helpful guy working in the adjoining gallery was out sweeping leaves and suggested we go in through the gallery. We did but there wasn't a single person inside. Chairs were still up on tables...
