I love any place that serves peanuts in the shell! Bierfabriek is relatively new in A'dam and is hidden away on a little street off Dam Square. My husband and I tried 2 of their home brews and both were delicious. We only had a meat/charcuterie plate and it was quite good too! Make a reservation.

A bar with in-house brewed beers and rotisserie chicken ... peanuts on the floor while you wait. The menu is somewhat limited to choices, but that was ok as we went for the chicken and a couple glasses of beer. The chicken was very tasty, tender and juicy and served with fries. It was mid-week yet the place was packed.... More

Honestly, the WORST service of my entire life! Imagine being served your dinner and being asked to finish it in 15 minutes! And then, your plate cleared away because you were too slow for their liking. Nope, it is not a Soviet Gulag, it is a tourist trap in Amsterdam! High marks for rudeness. Please do go there if you... Service in Amsterdam is always patchy, but this place wins the award for most spectacularly rude! They took orders for food, then delivered it with the message that we had to eat it in 15 minutes. The bill arrived a few minutes later and whilst we were trying to be helpful by paying before we had finished they took the... More

We saw this place wandering the streets and it was packed after work. It's a great place to duck out of the rain and grab a house-brewed bier. The peanuts are free and you toss the shells on the floor.

Good food at a reasonable price for Amsterdam. Friendly staff and very good "snow whites" - shandy to the Brits or una clara to the Spanish. Fill up on kilos of free peanuts while you wait - the shells get thrown on the floor by the locals - they make for a very crunchy carpet!!

Here they had many varieties of beer and the grilled chicken was excellently done. It was properly marinated and cooked to perfection with its crispy skin and soft tender flesh. Loved it! They also provide an endless supply of peanuts. The service was great too! Staff were friendly and always with a smile.

The list of things to eat is smaller than average. And that's a good thing. Because it's just good food! Next to that, there's lots of beer to choose from and there's as many peanuts as you can eat. As a matter of fact, they hang sacks full of 'm on the walls!

I've visited this place many times since I live in Amsterdam and the Bierfabriek is in the heart of Amsterdam. Whether it's with friends or with my partner, for dinner or just a drink, I'm never disappointed. Staff are generally quite gracious and the manager/owner(?) is always amazingly social and friendly. All of the beer available at the Bierfabriek is... More
