Description: The taste and quality of traditional cuisine with an innovative twist, you can taste its maximum respect for nature. This philosophy is underscored by the use of fair trade products and ingredients from Italy and Netherlands. For a perfect combination with the regional dishes there are, on the wine card, many available by the glass, small scale and artisan producers from Italy. For these reasons we choose to collaborate with the projects “The Alliance between Cooks and Slow Food Presidia”. Hi, after walking for miles seeing the sites of Amsterdam we were hungry and tired. We found this wonderful restaurant. The food was spectacular, service great and they chef came out and explained to me (in Italian, which the waiter patiently translated back and forth) how to make a very tasty fennel dish. I'm not a fan of fennel and... More

I came here with a friend who highly recommended it and I was really happy with the atmosphere and the food. Nice and tasty. The only disappointment is the price, a bit too overpriced especially for a place that is meant to be an "osteria"!

I discovered this place in Social Deals Amsterdam, and I am extremely happy with the place. The food was excellent, everything homemade and with good quality products (good olive oil, fresh fish, etc). We had a 4 dishes menu, which it was too much food, but since everything was super delicious, we manage to eat it all. Not only the... More

Al Bacaro is located 3 minutes from the apartment that we rented in the Ceaser canal (Keizersgracht). It is a lovely authentic Italian small restaurant that we had a very good dinner in. My wife and I shared a great antipasti plates that included cold cuts, crudo fish and amazing cheeses. Both of us took main courses from the daily... More

I'm Italian and I can tell you that you rarely find so authentic places outside of Italy. Their passion for slow food and high quality products is clear and the staff is friendly and hilarious. If you know what real Italian food tastes like you can't possibly be disappointed.

This is a nice cozy restaurant on a busy street. The staff was very professional. The house red wine was excellent. I ordered pasta with prawns and asparagus. Although it was on the menu, the waiter had to check if they had any asparagus. They did and my dish was satisfactory, although could have had more flavor. My wife ordered... More

Hidden little gem in an ugly street. Go for lunch. The food is great, so is the service and the price.
