Dining in the heart of Centraal Amsterdam

A great value meal that we enjoyed immensely. We had the steak, fries and arugula salad. The atmosphere was warm and Argentine. Our table had a great view of the street and passers-by. We would dine here again.

I have just thrown up the potatoes and beef from my burger. On top of that they charge (without mentioning this) EUR 1.75 for mayonaise and EUR 1 for cheese even after we indicated that we didn't want anything to drink. So, dear owner, go penetrate yourself and I hope you go bankrupt; you deserve it. I think everyone else... More

We are a French couple, and we wanted to try this restaurant... The food was really bad for the price, and they ask you to pay for everything ( bread, water...), not telling you before !!! We ate two dishes and we payed 65 euros !! Do not go there.

We are a huge steak fans. I think this place one of the best in Amsterdam. We tried lot of higher rated and most famous restaurants in this era BUT this won always. My son favorites place, so we can recommend everybody.

I was looking for a really nice Argentinian restaurant, that I used about 8 years ago. Couldn't find it but the nice young woman on the door of La Casa encouraged me to use them. The restaurant is quite nicely set up inside. I ordered a steak (medium rare) and it arrived fairly quickly looking small and sad. It looked... More

This place is amazing! The steaks are done exactly as you ask and the wines and drinks are matched perfectly! A tad expensive so definitely not a place to visit if you're on a budget, but you can't put a price on quality! Can't wait to go back!

We got in as we saw the TripAdvisor sticker but wrong choice: chef extremis impolite, unfriendly service (apart for the girl Walter that didn t even know her name), dirty tables, nothing argentine apart the Bull in the picture out side. Absolutely not suggested...You'd better go to a coffe shop: you won't eat but you will enjoy.

Really good and fast service, staff is extremely friendly and kind. Nice atmosphere and good music. Food was good but not extraordinary, however the prices are affordable and competitive.

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighborhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
