Great beer and bar snacks - a really good atmosphere all around. We sat downstairs and had the run of the place.

The atmosphere is vibrant and lively, the beers excellent. The food was superb (try the pumpkin salad). This is truly a gem in historic Amsterdam.

In the heart of the red light district is this hidden gem of a micro brewery. Lovely atmosphere. Lovely staff and lovely beer! You can sample some of the beers and there is live jazz miusic on a Sunday afternoon. A real find.

This is a great brewery where you can taste different types of beers. The place is very nice and so is the beer. Highly recommended.

A brewery on site with a busy and loud bar ambient, combines an excellent option to spend time with friends and live a bit of an Amsterdam local people.

I must admit that when I mapped de Prael I was a bit concerned that it seemed to be in an "iffy" area on the edge of the Red Light District. What a pleasant surprise! When we stopped by late in the day the clientele did not include over-consuming-twenty-somethings but rather an older, more sedate crowd who obviously appreciated the... More

I walked in during the late afternoon and was immediately greeted by the bartender who spoke perfect English. He was very welcoming and helped point out the draft section on the chalkboard above the entrance. I had two different drinks based on recommendations which were good. I would definitely return.

Pleasant, centrally located brewpub. Spacious, multi-level seating areas, and a bar selling their own beers and the usual soft drinks. The brewery itself is located at the back of the pub and is visible through a glass wall. I tried a couple of different beers, and liked the ones I tried. I was there following a conference; due to the... More

Went to De Prael for a business get to gather. The drinks and food was quite good. Different sitting areas both inside ( multi level ) and outside with comfortable sitting and some interesting conversations made it a great experience. Friendly staff, but the place gets a bit crowded towards late night on the weekends.

This small brewery produces their own special and "regular" beers. The beer is quite good and the snacks that are being offered, such as the cheese with bread, the typical Dutch treat, the home made "Bitterballen. Warning to unsuspecting foreign travelers; The Bitterballen are deepfried balls that are crispy on the outside, and boiling hot on the inside, so be... More
