I visited Oresti's Taverna twice, and the visits were unequal. The first time we were served tapas that were quite yummy, even though not exceptional, and the second time - just mediocre. Nothing amazing, but nothing horrible either. I think that even though the food was OK, it is definitely not enough when judged against Amsterdam's tapas scene; totally incomparable... More

Had dinner here with one of the 'Albert Heijn' discount coupons. Maybe it was the coupons, maybe it was the night - but nothing about the food we had was remotely good. Chewy overcooked food, low quality. I would guess that you would serve people that come with this coupon good food so they come back, instead we got served... More

The food here is Mediterranean tapas and the dishes we had were very good. We ordered 2 tasty prawn dishes. Beans meatballs dates in bacon plus an aubergine dish. All were tasty and quick to arrive. With a karafffe of wine and 2 coffees with liqueurs the bill was just short of 60 euros. Fine value for money. 4 stars... More

I've been invited to a business dinner. This place is really nice, ambient is good and cozy, you feel comfortable and relaxed. Food is good but not excellent, at least IMHO. There was some italian food that was not cooked in the traditional way, but reinterpreted in a more international context... well I do prefere the traditional... Goat Cheese was... More

It was wet night in Amsterdam, as is customary, and a friend was visiting, so we met up for a drink and then walked over to Oresti's in the Pijp section of the city. We had been there last February, and recalled it was very good. Well, we were not disappointed! We ordered two tapas each to share, and each... More

I was craving Spanish food and came up with this Oresti's Taverna on Trip Advisor. It was empty when I arrived which allowed me to pick the seat of my choice. The staff was very kind and chatty, however, did not really offer up any recommendations on food. I asked for white wine and received red, which was quickly corrected.... More

Went here last Monday night and there was a great atmosphere even that early in the week. Five of us altogether had the Tapas, which we let the waitresses pick. They brought the dishes to the table a few at a time and the food was brilliant. The wine that the girls recommended was perfect. The staff were so nice... More

Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students.
