Nice food experience

Came in and had to wait for almost 20 minutes for someone to hand us the menu! Irrespective of the number of entrees you order, they will deliver everything on 1 plate with 1 slice of injera bread. They will then charge extra for each extra bread. That is a huge scam they pull on you! I would never go... More

Great service, delicious dishes (ours were served on a dry, savoury pancake) tasty beers served in a coconut... A great setting to the St. Valentines dinner we treated ourselves to. Definitely a place we will visit again!

I was a little worried about eating African food as I can be quite fussy. However if felt very friendly and unlike some other reviews I did find our waiter warm and helpful. Mine and my boyfriends food came together on this big flat, spongy, citric bread stuff. (Not sure what It's called) I'd gone for a mild lamb dish... More

My wife and I have had Ethiopian food in several US cities. We love it but the food here was superior to anything we had before. Just loved it.

We were looking for something unique for dinner and stumbled across this restaurant. Neither my husband nor myself had ever had African food and figured we'd give this restaurant a shot. The food was delicious! We got the combo platter and another lamb dish. I was surprised at how spicy the food was (in hindsight, I should've ordered it all... More

The food was interesting, though I was not crazy about the pancake like bread with which you are expected to scoop the food instead of forks. It became soggy and was cold and rubbery. It can be somewhat disconcerting to eat with just your hands if you've never done it before. I ended up wearing much of my dinner. Service... More

I was solo on a business weekend in Amsterdam and the Concious hotel recommended this to me. I arrived at about 9:30pm on a Saturday night. The restaurant was full and they staff wer not waiting at the door, but I made my way to the bar and they seated me at the last open table for 2. They brought... More

The food and service was friendly and efficient. The food was Ethiopian. We do not want to spoil a delightful surprise when you dine at this restaurant. We ordered a dish that consisted of a wide variety of ethnic foods which were well prepared and had many different flavours. It was a great experience recommended by our superb host, Peter... More
