Eten & Drinken Indeed

This place is rated very highly on the list of places to eat in Amsterdam for very good reason, there is nothing suspicious about it, it is rare to see such experienced reviewers all saying the same thing about a single place, and all of them are true. Really good food, athmosphere and service!! Had the steak which was perfectly cooked and canneloni, all very good. Starters were fish salad and carpacio very nice and fresh! Total bill with cokes and two glasses of wine and a delicious stick toffee pudding came to 77?. Overall a very good meal!

What a great place. It was my wife’s 30th birthday and we were in Amsterdam with close friends who had recently been engaged. I booked the restaurant after reading the reviews on here and what a great decision it was. Firstly the restaurant is small and candlelit which gives it that intimate and cosy feeling. I booked via email speaking... More

We ate at the restaurant on New Year's Eve, the table of 4 was next to the kitchen hatch which we thought was great. The service was brilliant and all the specials were well explained before we ordered. We all had 3 courses and had no complaints the burger I had was beautiful and would recommend it to anyone. The... More

The Vlaming had very friendly, prompt service. The food was excellent and tasty. I can recommend the burger and the creme brulee :) Book before if you can as it is popular with the locals. A hidden gem!!

Ate here on Friday evening with my partner. We both enjoyed ourselves -high quality food, well cooked/presented with cheerful, professional service. 2 meals plus sides, dessert and a bottle of wine for under 70? was very good value. Also I disagree with Tanumz review. The restaurant never 'aimed' to become no.1 on tripadvisor -this has resulted from good, honest hard... More

First I would like to start with reservation mistake, we thought I booked a table for 6 oclock, but when we came the girl said its 7, so we had spare hour to pass. She recomended the bar across the road and the first drink was on her, so that was nice. After having few drinks in Dutch bar, we... More

We used to live a few buildings down from the Prinsengracht version of Vlaming, and would often stop by if we didn't feel like making dinner. The food is exceptional, and the prices are very reasonable for Amsterdam as well! Definitely a good, honest night out if you're looking for good food and wine with good atmosphere. You must try... The only negative issue is the location. There is no public transport very close and you need to walk 17 minutes to the nearest station. The rest is absolutelly perfect. Service is excellent, menu is excellent, atmosphere is cosi...Gongratulations Nikos Maria Athens Greece

We had an excellent meal and great food here. I am glad we went and I would recommend and return if I had the opportunity. By all accounts in my experience, this is a solid restaurant deserving of it's rating. The "slow down" comment in my title refers to what seems to be a viral "buzz" surrounding this restaurant on... Staying in Jordaan

Neighborhood Profile
Jordaan
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
