Dutch food

This is a very good place for Dutch snack food and sandwiches. Comes with a taste of Amsterdam humour. Lots of locals go here.

I've been to Amsterdam on a few occasions in the past and have sampled the beautiful cakes in this cafe. A friend and I were about to return home via Schiphol and thought a quick lunch here would "fill a gap" until we were home once more. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and any other customers in there... More

Its very near Rembrandt square but it does not have sky-high tourist prices. You can order sandwiches and other short order food for lunch or dinner. After the meal you can order one of the myriad pastries that are available in the store. The choices are too many and that problem is deciding which one to get. Budget and Price... More

The cheese croissants are absolutely delicious. And the little gift of marzipan pie with coffee is an added bonus. Highly recommended.

It was a bit of a let down once through the doors, as we were expecting a very traditional feeling bakery - but it was akin to a fast-food cake shop. Lots of lovely looking delights but a surly service even when we returned to the counter to ask for another drink - too much trouble?! The cakes and pastries... More

Delicious ice creams. Warm place. Good cakes. In particular perfect to have a break when it is raining.

Our tour guide took us here to try a croquette which was delicious, but the real star are the desserts! The ambiance is great and the staff is really friendly and knowledgeable. We came back here to get dessert and bought three cakes (chocolate mousse, chocolate cherry, and raspberry mouse with a cookie bottom) all of which were absolutely amazing.... More

As you walk down Rembrandtplein, if your eyes wander to the window of this wonderful patisserie, that's it - you are lost and must visit. And take it from me, that's no bad thing! The ice creams, cakes, pastries, chocolates, pasties, etc are enough to entice anyone, with fresh orange juice or coffee to wash it down - it all... More

Just off of Rembrandt Square, you will find this unassuming and yet excellent little bakery.... We tried the sausage rolls and the cheese rolls, which were delicious, but, in my opinion, their area of excellence lies in the ice creams they sell; rich full-bodied and full of fruit, such as Forest Fruits, Strawberry and Cherry Yoghurt, or Honey and Almond,...
