Wandering around we almost walked past the entrance to the restaurant, which is down some steep steps, from street level, into what must have once been a cellar. It is cosy and atmospheric, only seating for about 30. One waitress, efficient and friendly. The food was superb. We both went for the three course menu. I had beef carpaccio with... More

I love the 9 Streets neighborhood of Amsterdam, and was pleased to find such a cozy, intimate restaurant. It's located down some steep steps, slightly below street level. I chose the 3 course menu, and enjoyed the parsnip soup. My entree was a filet of sea bass, served with steamed veggies [this was a little bland and disappointing - the... More

We stumbled on this quirky little restaurant in the trendy Nine Streets area early in the day. We liked it immediately. Only meant to take a photo of its entrance but then we saw the TripAdvisor recommendation in the window. A very reasonable 26€ three course menu with some interesting and delicious sounding dishes proved very tempting too. So when... More

It just looked fun, so we decided to risk it... and never looked back. We were lucky to get a table, and even though it got really busy (they had to turn some people away), the service was excellent, and the food was very good indeed. I particularly liked the relaxed atmosphere and the friendly attitude.

Had dinner here with a co-worker. The meal was excellent. The menu said they had Halibut but it was a cod the waitress pointed out. The fish was over some roasted potatoes with some green beans and tomatoes on the vine on top. It was all in a very tasty sauce. It was a little crowded, there was a large... More

Just Amazing food, exiting menu and three courses for a really good price! Good size portions. Nice ambience with mainly old soul music. Great staff. The place is quite small so be there in good time for dinner. One of the best places ever!

We were there on our anniversary and I have to say that the food was great and the service excellent. Everything looked delicious and I had the chefs choice of the menu. It is a very small restaurant and can be very crowded. But in this case that didn't bother me what so ever. Great value for your money. And... More

Looking for an early dinner the six of us braved the steep stairs to get down to this restaurant to be greeted by a very nice little space. In short - some of us we very happy with the meals but all were happy with the service. I would guess that the kitchen is too small to support the number... More

We happened across this restaurant by chance, and were totally chuffed with it by the time we left! We had 3 courses of food for €26, and the food was excellent. A sweet potato curry soup, followed by goats cheese risotto with pumpkin and pumpkin seeds (which wasn't strictly on the menu, but the chef whipped it up for us!)... More

Small and intimate restaurant. Excellent food with a set menu option that I think was 26 euro for 3 course. Due to the limited size of the restaurant they have two sittings, opening 1730 then a second service at 2015 so you should time your visit to maximise on the maint of time you wish spend over your meal and...
