Delicious, quaint restaurants!

Very small but authentic restaurant. Great for couples, really romantic. Right off canal and down some stairs, underground but with windows on the street! Probably about 20 tables - They have a set menu you can order off of or you can order a la carte. Delicious dutch food that is authentic... read more

Had the 3 course for 26euros and it was pretty good value. Dishes were nicely executed and tasty. Do come early, we wanted the wild rabbit rillette but they ran out when we got there at 8.30pm. I suppose they prepare in small quantities since they restaurant can't sit many. The sole waitress there was doing her best serving many... More

We came across this lovely restaurant as we were wandering along the canal streets. Its based in a basement of a tall Dutch House and seemed to be frequented by local Amsterdam residents rather than visitors. Small menu with lovely choices. The food was very tasty, leaning towards Dutch flavours and beautifully presented. Please go and try this restaurant if... More

We've just returned from having had a fantastic meal at this restaurant. The food, the service, the wine and the atmosphere were all first rate and all for a very reasonable price.

I feel really lucky to have come across this lovely restaurant in a beautiful part of Amsterdam. The food was delicious and the vegetarian choices were great. The 3-course menu was excellent value and the house wine was too. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant for a lovely night out without breaking the bank.

We stumbled upon this little gem of a restaurant in the 9 Streets shopping area of Amsterdam. Nestled in the basement of what must be a historic building, it's a compact restaurant with an intimate and homely atmosphere. We went for the 3-course meal for €26. The soup of the day was sweet potato and coconut, served piping hot and... More

Wandering around we almost walked past the entrance to the restaurant, which is down some steep steps, from street level, into what must have once been a cellar. It is cosy and atmospheric, only seating for about 30. One waitress, efficient and friendly. The food was superb. We both went for the three course menu. I had beef carpaccio with... More

I love the 9 Streets neighborhood of Amsterdam, and was pleased to find such a cozy, intimate restaurant. It's located down some steep steps, slightly below street level. I chose the 3 course menu, and enjoyed the parsnip soup. My entree was a filet of sea bass, served with steamed veggies [this was a little bland and disappointing - the... More

We stumbled on this quirky little restaurant in the trendy Nine Streets area early in the day. We liked it immediately. Only meant to take a photo of its entrance but then we saw the TripAdvisor recommendation in the window. A very reasonable 26€ three course menu with some interesting and delicious sounding dishes proved very tempting too. So when... More

It just looked fun, so we decided to risk it... and never looked back. We were lucky to get a table, and even though it got really busy (they had to turn some people away), the service was excellent, and the food was very good indeed. I particularly liked the relaxed atmosphere and the friendly attitude.
