My wife and I visited this restaurant during a short visit to Amsterdam. We stumbled on it by chance when it was pouring with rain( not an isolated occurrence :-)On entering the premises the person cooking the pizzas located next to the entrance totally ignored us . Eventually someone came and sat us down. I can only reiterate what others... More

As a mediterranean family of 6 we decided to go to this "Italian" restaurant. The food for 5 of us was served and the 6th. order was missing. We called the restaurant manager and asked about our lasagna. He went to the pizzaolo near the door and started arguing with him. He came and tols us to wait 10 minutes... More

Passing Pizzeria La Traviata, I decided to give it a go. The cheerful greeting I had outside unfortunately didn't carry through to the staff inside, they were very off hand, almost as though I was an inconvience as I had interupted their conversation. I was placed at a table very close to the back of the restaurant, near the bar... More

We were hungry and La Traviata was fairly busy (although it was early), so we stopped. It was so good we came back again the next night. My husband ordered pesto without asking if it contained milk, which he can't eat. At first the waiter said the menu included milk in the description, but when we all looked, it didn't,... More

I have eaten here many times over the years. It is reasonably priced by local standards ( ie expensive compared to the NE of England. I have always found that by speaking Italian I get what I want with plenty of fuss and without any of the rudeness some reviewers mention. This place is always busy, often full, and I... More

Upon entry we were greeted nicely by the pizza chef, however when he said something while turning his backs to us and we asked for him to repeat it, his response was "it's a pretty basic question". Then when we asked for tap water, they said it's not allowed. Not Allowed? Then he went onto explain that we had to... More

We ate pizza & pasta last year for Valentines Day and it was wonderful! The food was very tasty, service was good, and overall it was a lovely experience. We ventured back at around 10.30pm this year and whilst we are aware this is late, we were treated quite rude by the female member of staff on duty. She was... More

It was Saturday evening, late (spanish time) and the restaurant wasn´t full at all. Nobody came to clean the table. We did it. Drinks came after waiting for 20 min more or less. The same for food. The waiter and the manager were arguing... They made us pay more without telling us before... The food was normal, not bad, not... More
