This is my favorite restaurant in all of Amsterdam for 5 years. Very inconspicuous and welcoming with amazing food and friendly service. The menu is refreshed frequently but everything is prepared with care and attention and one cannot choose wrong. Highly recommended.

This restaurant has a very homely feel and was very busy with locals but they managed to fit us in. Would recommend a booking as many people were turned away. Servings were huge and food was well cooked and delicious! A great introduction to Ethiopian food- highly recommended!

There are some exotic meats on the menu, like antelope and crocodile, and the classic pancake and goo combination is great. Looks run-down on the inside, but this somehow helps the atmosphere. Very friendly staff, possibly family-run.

We really like Ethiopian food so this was a real find. Lovely tasty piles of food traditionally served on injera. Service was friendly and efficient and all very reasonably priced. What else needs to be said.

Went here last night. Easy to find, left as you leave the Centraal train station and turn right 10 mins walk later. It's tiny! 20-25 covers. Probably better to book, we got lucky at 10pm. The menu is bistro sized 3 soups 3 starters 5-6 mains. While the soups looked enticing, with a goat and egg soup from Ghana the... More

Nice place with a fitting decor. Slow service, but no problem if you have the time for the excellent food. Biggest drawback is the lack of an ATM. Who in their right mind caries enough money to pay for 9 people? Nearest atm is also a 20 round-trip walk. With this improve I'd give it a 4,5/5, but it's the... More

We were staying at the nearby Hotel Ibis and after looking at TA to see what restaurants were in the locality we saw this one and thought it sounded interesting as neither of us had sampled Ethiopian cuisine before. We dropped by and reserved a table, had a quick drink in a busy bar with locals across the bridge and... More

We visited here with our two children who also really enjoyed the food - braved pouring rain and it was well worth the effort. It had a very ambient atmosphere; relaxed friendly staff. This was our first experience of Ethiopian food and we all found our meals really delicious. The flavours were very interesting. We are all vegetarian and there... More
