Little gem

We sat outside here on a lovely sunny day on pride weekend. What a great bar, a must visit for anybody who visits Amsterdam. Lovely friendly staff too.

A dark theme pub little changed in 15 years. Toilets are grim and could with with upgrading. Indeed the whole pub could do with upgrading. Other Irish pubs in the locale have rather more finesse. As regards food do yourself a favour and avoid the processed fish and chips. Too little fish in too much batter and the fish was... More

Can highly recommend, steak was great as was the cider. A great place for a pit stop in the middle of the dam and to watch football on the big screen. Look no further

We stayed at the Hotel Floris France (which is a dump) which is attached to Molly's, we had breakfast there each morning and visited each day of our trip for a drink. The service is top draw, typical Irish hospitality, by the time we left our 4 day holiday it almost felt like our local. I would definitely recommend you... More

This is a nice place in the heart of the city, it has a cozy warm welcoming environment. They have nice bar food in winter its sometimes nice to have a nice bowl of soup. The have a variety of bands that play there and they have pub quizzes for those who like them. While sports isnt my thing you... More

Went here a few nights ago with some friends. Had the ribs and a couple of beers. Honestly wasn't expecting anything awesome as Irish pubs in Amsterdam are usually tourist traps, but I was pleasantly surprised with the food, it was good. Not mid-blowing but very decent, a lot better than I expected. Price was good too, will come back... More

I'm not a big eater &i don't really care about the food i eat, but this pub had a variety of basic food you would find in any hotel for breakfasts between toasted bread with jams, cereals, fruit salad, eggs / meat / cheese, fruit juices / coffee &tea. The atmosphere really reminds me of the pubs i used to... More

We went here because I thought it was a pub we'd been in some years earlier but it wasn't. Very pleasant waiter, from Dublin. She was quick and efficient. My grandson and I had fish and chips and my wife had salmon and roast potatoes. She said the meal was very good. Ours was ok, although the fish had an... More

Came here for a drink and returned for dinner. Lovely food service and atmosphere. People watching on the canal and a nice meal. What more could you ask for on a relaxing city break.

Great pub beside a canal! Food was great. Service was fast, & beer was cold. A good quick feed and a large size meal. We had the ribs & the steak, & we both enjoyed our meal.

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighborhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
