Happened upon this pub when wandering around the red light district, and had a craving for a real cider. The pub is like most Irish pubs around the world - cosy, mostly staffed by Irish people, and a nice place to hang out for a couple hours.

Burgers were completely dry and burned. Schnitzels and fries tastied like fish and reeked of fishy oil. Beers were great.

If you want to find your heart in Amsterdam, this is the place to start. The people that work there are lovely. The Irish stew is certainly the best that I was able to find in all of Amsterdam.

It was a typical wet rainy night, food was ok and the football was on the tv. What more to say, Ok Irish football, or bash the other guy with a stick.

Good value food - wonderful goat's cheese salad. Large portions all freshly cooked and very tasty. Smaller snack portions also served.

I've just had the best Sunday dinner ( British style ) in a long time. However it's 5pm on a Thursday in Amsterdam. Get yourselves here any day, any time, but do it soon.

Great pub with a great atmosphere. Best pint of Guinness I sampled in the whole of Amsterdam that weekend. Also tried the lamb roast on a Sunday lunch time which was also well prepared and well cooked although was a little pricey at over 15 euros. This is about the only bad thing I can say about my visit.
