Nice Rijstaffel

This unassuming and quite small restaurant has a very good rijstaffel - the staff are also helpful. It is a good place to go if you feel like a standard but good quality Indonesian buffet.

Nestled between Indonesian competitors on the trendy Utrechtsestraat, this small, yet attractive Indonesian restaurant serves Indonesian food as it should be. We had a rijsttafel for 2 with the tastiest small dishes. Some hot, some cold, spicy and not spicy, sweet, sour, various meats, veggies, karupuk, you name it. Reminded me of my mother's cooking who was born in Surabaya.... More

The restaurant from the street shows an attractive ambiance. However, we had to sit upstairs which is the exact opposite. Dim and unattractive it seems to not even be the same restaurant. We ordered the food, and after 1 hour, we inquired about where it might be. We were told they would get it asap. 10-15 minutes later, just as... More

This Indonesian restaurant offers interesting sets with various small dishes. There was plenty for vegetarian, and the chicken and beef dishes were tasty. Sauces were mainly peanut satay and a coconut milk base which was very tasty. Service was excellent and prompt, and I would highly recommend this for a different dining experience.

We had wanted to try a rice table as it's an Amsterdam thing. We were recomended this and thought value wise 50 euros and the selection was not too bad. Some of the dishes I liked others soso. Seemed like nice rice and other plates with diffrent sauces.(socks were not blown off) Best for me were chicken statays and sauce.... More

This Indonesian restaurant offers a fixed price meal for two for 50 Euros, and that is what we had. It started with a VERY good chicken-coconut soup, and I'd go back just for that. The rest was small plates -- 2 beefs, two chickens, a fish, a tofu, 4-5 vegetable dishes, toasted coconut sprinkles and other garnishes for all. A... More

The food was excellent. I can't say enough about the delicious laksa. The waiter was very nice and personable. The only drawback was the long time it took for our food to arrive; almost one hour. Once it did arrive it was delicious and plentiful.

I had the Reistaffel (I think that's the name of the dish I had). I was surprised to see how much of variety it is - from chicken, beef, and other variety of foods. As I was sitting in a solo table, I'm pretty sure the table couldn't fit my food! The amount of food was a lot that even... More

Spring Rolls and Fried Dumplings for entrée. Chicken with Spicy Sauce, and Stir-fried Vegetables as main course. Very happy with all choices. Enough food for the two of us. All four items were delicious. Would order them again.Only negative, staff could have been more aware of the customers.

I was keen to try reis taffel, so went to this restaurant. It is very simple and all the time I spent here was almost empty. I fulfilled my dream to have reistaffel- it consisted of 12 small plates (not bites) of different food. Was enough to eat but I cannot say I was delighted. Is this food not for... More
